Maybe it was the cold, but she was hunched over so much her neck disappeared. Mortimer Quincy wrapped an arm around her and chuckled, "Honey, you look like an ostrich right now."
"You're the one who looks like an ostrich!" Holly Winslow shot him a glare.
Mortimer Quincy raised an eyebrow, and the next second, he hunched over just like Holly. "Perfect. We're a match made in heaven."
Holly couldn't help but laugh. She grabbed his arm and said sweetly, "Honey, I'm falling more and more in love with you."
The village's small shop wasn't far, just a few minutes' walk. Holly stood at the entrance, pointing at the vinegar on the counter. "Aunt Langdon, I'll take a bottle of vinegar. The twelve-yuan one."
"I'll get it for you right now." Aunt Langdon glanced at Mortimer Quincy. "Holly, is this a relative of yours?"
'A husband counts as a relative, I guess.'
