Standing nearby, Wyatt Winslow pressed his lips together tightly, then finally turned and walked out of the kitchen.
Seeing Mortimer Quincy come out, Holly Winslow stuck her tongue out at him, gloating a little. The kitchen door hadn't been closed, so she had, of course, heard their conversation.
Mortimer Quincy raised an eyebrow, put down the fruit, and sat beside her. With Wyatt Winslow present, his posture was so proper it was beyond reproach.
Holly Winslow tsk-tsked twice, then looked at Wyatt Winslow. "Dad, you don't eat people, do you?" she asked, then burst out laughing.
Wyatt Winslow froze for a moment. Once he understood, he glanced at Mortimer Quincy and said, "Just relax."

At 5:30, Wyatt Winslow raised his wrist to check his watch, then looked at Mortimer Quincy. "Are your parents free? Let's have dinner together."
The Quincy family had treated them to a meal last time, and as Holly Winslow's father, he had to return the favor.
