Holly Winslow: "..."
'Mortimer Quincy was the one with a say in this matter,' she thought. 'I only had the right to be informed.'
She thought for a moment, then sat up straight and looked the interviewer directly in the eye. "Sir, if I were a man, would you still be asking this kind of question?"
The interviewer was clearly taken aback. The unspoken answer was obviously no.
Because after a man gets married, he doesn't have to give birth or take maternity leave.
Certain societal prejudices were extremely unfair to women. As a woman, you had to work much harder than a man to get the results you wanted.
She hadn't planned on working here anyway; she just wanted more interview experience. She stood up apologetically, gave a slight bow, and walked right out of the interview room.
Mortimer Quincy, who was sitting on the sofa, saw her come out. He looked her over, noticing she seemed a little upset.
When she walked over, he stroked her head. "It's okay. It's their loss."
