She bit her slightly swollen, sore lips and nodded. "Mhm."
Ashley Bowen woke up early the next morning, her entire body aching terribly.
She reached out for the space beside her out of habit, only to find it empty under the covers. Yuri Sinclair was already awake.
Ashley Bowen groped for her phone on the nightstand, swiped the screen open, and glanced at the time.
6:30 AM. It was still very early.
However, her notification bar showed two missed calls, both from Vivian Lee.
She quickly sat up, put on her slippers, got out of bed, and slid open the glass door. She walked out onto the balcony to call Vivian Lee back.
"Hello?"
"Oh, thank god, girl, you finally picked up. Are you sure if Elise and I come storming over, your resident sourpuss isn't going to kick us out? I had a huge fight with him last time, and I'm still really nervous about it."
