The pain in his leg was still quite distinct. He frowned and tried to move, only to find someone sprawled across his body.
She was sleeping peacefully. On her delicate, palm-sized face, her eyes were red and swollen, and she looked utterly exhausted.
'She must have been worried sick about me, huh?'
At the thought, his hand instinctively rose to caress the side of her face. His touch was feather-light, his fingers eventually coming to rest on her lips.
She parted her lips, her tongue brushing against his finger, and her eyes shot open.
Her first instinct was to check if he was all right. Seeing that he was awake, she sat up with a start. "Yuri, how are you feeling? Does your leg hurt terribly?"
"It doesn't hurt," Yuri said with a smile, gently shaking his head.
"That's good, that's good. You had me so worried." Ashley Bowen clutched her chest, suddenly antsy. 'Should I go ask Master for his medicine now?'
"I... I'll go ask Master. The herbal medicine should be done brewing."
