Miles Xavier had told her to get up early, so Joan Shaw was up bright and early the next day.
She had to take the two children to school soon, and she had no idea what new unpleasantness awaited her.
After washing up, she picked an outfit from her suitcase and got dressed. Just as she was opening her door to leave, the knob turned from the other side.
When the door opened, Miles Xavier was standing outside, impeccably dressed.
"Morning, Mr. Tycoon~ Why are you up so early?"
Miles Xavier looked her up and down. Without answering her question, he grabbed her hand and pulled her back into the room.
"Mr. Tycoon, what are you doing?"
"Applying your ointment," Miles Xavier said matter-of-factly, tossing her onto the bed and retrieving the first-aid kit with practiced ease. "Take the pills after we eat."
As he spoke, he began disinfecting his fingers.
