Suddenly, a dark figure darted in front of her, momentarily blocking her view.
"Who's there?" she shouted, immediately taking off in pursuit.
The figure heard her voice and quickened their pace in a panic. But the night was too dark and the rain too heavy; he tripped and went sprawling into the downpour.
