Jenna Irving was wearing a white pullover sweater. White seemed to be her favorite color.
She was so thin that her exposed wrists looked no thicker than three of his fingers put together.
It wasn't until she finished pouring the wine, straightened up, and revealed the two dimples at the corners of her mouth...
...that he found he could no longer remain indifferent. He raised his glass and smiled at her.
CLINK—
The glasses met, as if striking a spark of love. In that moment, Andrew's heart was a tangle of emotions.
"Mr. Osborne, please have a seat. I didn't know what you like to eat, so I just made some of my usual favorites," Jenna Irving said with a smile. In truth, these were all Daisy's favorite dishes.
Daisy wasn't a fan of very spicy food, so the dishes were mostly light, but that didn't make them any less delicious.
For example, there was a dish of loach with tofu, where the tofu was silky smooth and the loach was savory and fresh.
