Yara Quincy had always felt she had a clear conscience about her actions. She said defiantly, "Yes, I said Claire Sinclair bounced between countless jobs for a year after graduation. I also said her ex-boyfriend was a rapist. And I said you and Quinn used to date. Was I wrong about any of it?"
At her words, Claire Sinclair looked at Adrian Quincy in disbelief. 'He dated Quinn?'
But that wasn't what he'd told her!
Adrian Quincy's cold eyes narrowed, and an icy chill seemed to radiate from him. Parting his thin lips, he asked, "When did I ever date her?"
"Everyone at the training camp said so!"
"And if they said that, who started the rumor?"
Yara Quincy lowered her head, looking guilty. "It was me. But, big brother, you didn't seem to have a problem with it, did you?"
Adrian Quincy's voice was heavy. "If I had known back then, would I have let you spread such nonsense everywhere?"
