Claire Sinclair felt a little lost. Although she'd arranged with Teacher Hartwell to stay at a hotel for the time being, for some reason, her heart felt hollow, like something was missing.
'Forget it, Claire Sinclair. Pull yourself together!'
Just as she was about to walk to the side of the road to hail a cab, she suddenly remembered something. Slapping her forehead, she quickly turned back.
Damn it, she hadn't gotten her Little White back yet!
Claire Sinclair walked up to the gates of Quincy Manor, but as she tried to enter, a guard stopped her.
"Stop. What's your business here?"
'This guard has got to be kidding me. I was just gone for a moment, and he already doesn't recognize me???'
Claire Sinclair said irritably, "I'm here to see Mr. Quincy."
The guard said sternly, "No entry without a pass. Please present your pass!"
'A pass? What pass?'
