The alarm rang at five o'clock in the morning.
For a few moments, I remained beneath the blanket, staring at the ceiling while trying to gather my thoughts. The room was still dim, with only a faint trace of sunlight slipping through the curtains. Paris was beginning to wake up, and apparently so was I.
A slow breath escaped my lips.
Today was important.
Far more important than I wanted to admit.
Yesterday had been filled with meetings, introductions, schedules, and conversations about the campaign. Today would be completely different. Today, I would finally stand in front of the cameras and become the face of Maison Étoile's newest project.
The thought alone was enough to chase away every trace of sleep.
I pushed myself out of bed and walked toward the window.
The city stretched endlessly beyond the glass. Elegant buildings stood proudly beneath the pale morning sky while cars moved steadily through the streets below. Even from this height, Paris felt alive.
