Chapter 125 - Chapter 125 Borrowing Gems

After the God King's succession ceremony, it was Asgard's traditional reserved event: a feast.

As the newly crowned God King, Thor and Loki naturally received congratulations from everyone in turn.

While chugging drinks, Thor had been searching for Kytheron in the crowd, but he couldn't find him, and even his sister was nowhere to be seen.

This was because he had many questions he wanted Kytheron to answer.

For example, what his father had said to Kytheron before his passing, what exactly happened with his uncle Kuurth, and how his sister Hela would be treated in the future.

However, as one of the protagonists of this feast, he naturally couldn't leave.

Having made up his mind, Thor decided to go to Midgard after the feast. As for the matters of the kingdom, he believed Loki would handle them better than him.

He was very clear about his own capabilities; he lacked the talent to govern a kingdom. He inherited his father's valor.

In the future Asgard, he had decided to leave all internal affairs to Loki, while he would handle the external ones.

He believed this was also why his father had designated Loki as an heir.

At this moment, Kytheron had already returned to Earth with Hela and Jean.

"Jean, Hela will stay with you for now. Teach her some common knowledge about life on Earth."

"I still have some things to do. After I'm done, I'll take you to explore the real Universe."

Kytheron casually dumped Hela, the baggage, onto Jean, and without giving her a chance to refuse, he instantly opened a spatial gate and left!

"Mas..."

Jean didn't even have time to say a single word before Kytheron vanished without a trace!

Looking at the aloof God of Death Hela standing beside her, Jean felt her head ache.

She had already heard about Hela from Kytheron!

This one was a true God of Death; although she only governed the life and Death of Asgardians, it sounded like she wasn't an easy character to deal with.

"Sister Hela, I can call you that, right!"

Although Jean's own strength was not inferior to, and even stronger than Hela's, the aura emanating from Hela made her subconsciously assume a relatively weaker stance.

"Sister? My age is almost as long as some ancient civilizations on your Midgard. Are you sure you want to call me sister?"

Hela could feel a sense of threat from Jean, and although it wasn't directed at her, it felt like a thorn in her back.

"What's the big deal? Sister Nia is even older than your father, God King Odin, and I still call her sister."

Jean was noncommittal about this, as she herself, being a woman, knew that women were very sensitive about their age.

"Teacher wants you to stay with me, so for the next few days, I'll teach you some basic knowledge about Earth."

"Since you've come to Earth, you must abide by Earth's rules. Unless absolutely necessary, it's best not to casually use your power on ordinary people."

Helpless, Jean could only prepare to take Hela back to her home first. However, before that, she had to give Hela a warning, to avoid more trouble later.

"Hmph! I am a God. Do you think rules made by mere mortals can bind me!"

Now that Kytheron wasn't around, Hela had regained her arrogance as the Goddess of Death.

Although she couldn't defeat Kytheron, she truly hadn't given much thought to Midgard, this abode of mortals.

Hearing Hela say this, Jean couldn't help but put her hand to her forehead. Sure enough, her worries had come true!

"If you harm mortals, Teacher might be displeased."

Having no other choice, Jean had to bring up Kytheron.

"Hmph! Do you think your Teacher, a strong individual like him, would truly care about the lives of mere mortals?"

"The battle between him and Kuurth earlier must have caused immense disaster, not to mention the casualties. Did you see him care?"

"In the eyes of strong individuals like them, mortals are nothing more than lower life forms. Even if many die, it's no big deal."

Hela said with disdain.

In the process of conquering the Nine Realms, the lives that had died by her hand were already countless!

She believed that if she didn't care about the lives of these mortals, then Kytheron, who was even more powerful than her, should care even less!

To some extent, all life in this Universe was like NPCs in a game to Kytheron.

It was just that some NPCs were useful characters that could trigger quests, while others were cannon fodder with little presence.

Unfortunately, on Earth, apart from the people whose names Kytheron had heard before, others were no different from cannon fodder to him.

Although Kytheron might occasionally play the role of a righteous partner, his initial intention would never be to purely save lives.

"Don't talk nonsense! How could my Teacher be like you, a God of Death who constantly dwells with Death!"

Jean absolutely did not believe Kytheron would be such a person, because Kytheron had promised Sister Nia to help her protect the Elven Kingdom.

"If you don't believe me, then we can wait and see. But before that, you'd best not interfere in my affairs. Although I am subservient to him, you are not within the scope of my subservience."

After Hela finished speaking, she prepared to leave on her own.

However, the next moment, the step she had just taken stopped!

Because behind her, a terrifying power made all her senses emit danger signals.

Turning her head, she saw Jean, at this moment, was enveloped in a golden-yellow energy, her entire body floating in the air, with a pair of energy wings extending from her back.

The destructive aura intensely stimulated Hela's mind.

Hela's body trembled violently, and in her pupils, a phoenix entwined with golden flames was reflected.

However, Hela was not intimidated by this.

With a flick of her hand, a Sword of Night was condensed in her hand.

Yet, before she could even make a move, Jean merely gave a look, and the sword in her hand was decomposed into its atomic form.

Hela now understood where the threat from Jean came from, and she understood even more why she would become Kytheron's disciple!

Sometimes, when dealing with certain people, no amount of talking matters; it's far better to do something practical and suppress them with absolute power.

Sure enough, after witnessing Jean's power, and coupled with her fear of Kytheron, Hela once again softened her stance.

On the other side, Kytheron had already appeared in Kamar-Taj and found the Sorcerer Ancient One who was relaxing.

"I thought you would be in Asgard attending the God King's succession ceremony!"

"What artifact is that on your hand? Are you preparing to collect the Cosmic Stones?"

The Sorcerer Ancient One was slightly surprised to see Kytheron arrive, especially when she saw the Infinity Gauntlet on Kytheron's hand.

"Sorcerer Ancient One, I've come to borrow the Time Stone from you."

"Of course, I won't take it for free. I'll use this item as an exchange. What do you think!"

Kytheron didn't beat around the bush and directly stated his purpose, then pulled out the eye of agamotto that he had plundered from Odin's treasury.

"I never thought I would see it again after the Seventh Sorcerer Supreme lost it."

"Although I would lend you the gem even without this item, this magical artifact has a strong effect for sorcerers in combating dark forces, so I will unceremoniously accept it!"

The Sorcerer Ancient One, of course, was not pretentious and directly took the eye of agamotto.

She casually opened the eye of agamotto and handed the Time Stone inside to Kytheron.

She understood that with Kytheron's character and strength, if he said borrow, it definitely meant borrow, not a direct exchange.

"Thanks, I'll return it after I'm done with it."

After Kytheron embedded the gem into the gauntlet, he simply said a word to the Sorcerer Ancient One and vanished without a trace.
