April stood still, not knowing what to do, but knowing what not to do; which was to get the door. The doorbell rang again before Nathalie finally came out. April noticed she had washed her face like she had been crying. She wished she had not asked anything, and decided she would be more careful with her questions, henceforth. But what was the big deal with the one she asked? She wondered. Maybe there was something wrong somewhere, or perhaps, she was only overthinking the whole situation.
"Just head over to the bedroom." Nathalie whispered to her as she pointed to a door, the one April assumed must lead to the balcony. So it was a bedroom afterall.
"Hey, your shoes too." Nathalie pointed to the shoes at the entrance.
