Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: I Don't Want to Climb Mountains Every Day

Bang had always been optimistic about Garou.

In his eyes, Garou was just a kid whose rebellious phase was lasting a bit too long.

No matter how bad he was, could he be worse than Bang himself in his youth?

The [Exploding heart release Fist] he once created was an evil style that pursued pure slaughter and destruction.

He had sent many powerful fighters to the hospital.

Some even had their martial arts paths completely ruined.

He used to think he was immersed in the joy of martial arts, but in reality, he was just using power to seek pleasure.

If it weren't for his older brother, Bomb, waking him up during a duel, Bang might have long ago reached the point of no return on that evil path.

He hoped Garou would be like he was back then.

That after a defeat, he would understand how to correctly use his power.

Watching Garou eat in silence, Bang didn't speak to teach him; at a time like this, he should let him think for himself.

"If it's not enough, go to the kitchen; there are some leftovers." Leaving these words, Bang stood up and left.

It was already late at night.

But the dojo was not as quiet as usual.

The whispering voices of some Senior Brothers rose, seemingly discussing that man from today.

Aokiji... Garou chewed the roasted meat mechanically.

He raised his bandage-wrapped hand, a stinging pain seeping from his bones.

He clenched his fist loosely, then released it, repeating the action two or three times.

Hero?

Just a synonym for violence used to protect the interests of the majority.

A true hero should be... No, that's not right.

A true hero cannot exist.

Absolute "Evil" is the optimal solution for this world.

I must possess a more pure and powerful violence!

Garou swallowed the last bit of roasted meat and walked out of the room.

The goal starts with surpassing that man!

—Inside the Dojo—

Aokiji stood barefoot on the clean, polished wooden floor.

Just now, he had fully demonstrated all the Taijutsu and Six Powers granted by the aokiji template.

Bang sat on the floor, a look of amazement on his face.

"Indeed, they are quite unique Moves. They can still be developed further in their respective directions, and the training covers the entire body."

"And you have already completely mastered this set of Moves, integrating them into your own fighting style."

"At your age, it's truly rare."

Aokiji felt a bit embarrassed.

He used to just stick to working out to stay in shape.

Everything else was brought by the aokiji template granted by the System.

The one who worked hard was Aokiji.

From the moment he joined the Marine, he entered Black Arm Zephyr's training camp and quickly became one of the three new Monster recruits of the Marine with his exaggerated talent and strength.

After officially starting his Marine career, in order to refine his strength, he took the initiative to find Garp and follow him to learn.

Taijutsu, Haki, and Fruit abilities—nothing was left behind.

This is one of the top combat powers of the world's most powerful violent organization—

Admiral Aokiji.

Although he later stopped being a Marine... "However, in terms of the Realm of martial arts, there is still room for refinement," Bang added.

"With your talent, it's not difficult to perfect yourself, but it still takes time. We've both joined the Hero Association, so this responsibility cannot be easily set aside."

"Why don't you just live in my dojo, Aokiji? It would be convenient for me to guide your practice," Bang said after some consideration.

"Forget it, climbing the mountain is too much trouble," Aokiji refused decisively.

"I'll find a place to stay in Z-City with a wide area for practice. Besides, I heard Monsters appear quite frequently in one area here."

Bang's expression crumbled.

You think climbing the mountain is trouble,

So you're going to make this old man climb down every day to guide you?

"I don't agree!"

A voice suddenly cut in from outside.

Garou walked in, glaring fiercely at Aokiji.

You want to run after beating me up twice?

"Didn't you make an agreement with the old man? As long as you're here, I can launch an attack at any time."

"What?" Garou grinned and said disdainfully, "Now you want to run?"

"Go play somewhere else, kid," Aokiji waved his hand dismissively.

This wasn't wrong; Garou was only fifteen now, he just looked a bit mature.

But he obviously didn't like being looked down upon like this.

Garou's face turned cold.

Without a word, he launched a sneak attack.

Aokiji casually stepped aside and delivered a hand chop.

And so, he knocked this chief Disciple to the ground again.

Bang was the same as at the beginning, just sitting quietly by the side.

Looking at the angry Garou, Aokiji remembered his progress bar.

Making Garou come to his senses early should also increase the progress bar.

But this guy is very stubborn; after all, his goals were established by his childhood experiences, and he's currently in his adolescence.

And strictly speaking.

The Garou in ONE's original work,

Didn't figure things out in the end,

But simply ran out of options.

Just when he thought he had become absolute "Evil," a bald Demon King suddenly appeared whom he couldn't shake even with all his might.

That feeling was truly despairing.

There were multiple factors for Garou giving up on becoming absolute "Evil."

One was Saitama; with him around, there was no possibility of Garou's goal being realized.

Two was Bang; this old man who saw Garou as family never gave up on him.

Three was Tareo, the kid Garou had been helping. When Garou had a death wish, he stood up to protect Garou and acknowledged Garou as his hero.

Aokiji knew he didn't have Talk no Jutsu.

Nor did he have the eloquence to rally people in a beer hall.

To ignore these factors and convince Garou...

Was as difficult as making Saitama grow hair again.

Aokiji squatted down: "If you want to keep getting beaten up, that's fine. Anyway, I'll be living in Z-City from now on. Let's change the terms: while I'm doing hero work and Cultivating, you're not allowed to interfere. At any other time, you can launch a battle whenever you want."

If dogmatic persuasion doesn't work, then change the method.
