Chapter 60 - chapter-59 Let Hulk and Abomination mourn too!

Hawk's face was stern, his mind replaying the events of that night, September 10, 2009, and a fierce fire of revenge burned in his deep blue eyes.

Gwen looked at the anger burning in Hawk's eyes, her expression silent.

She didn't seem surprised by it.

In fact, she already knew; it was that night, when she asked her father, George, for a small favor, that she found it on the list of victims from the Hulk versus Abomination battle.

After all, that photo was taken when Hawk had just enrolled.

But Hawk had never mentioned the girl in that photo, so Gwen guessed at the time that something unfortunate might have happened to her.

Plus, Anya in the photo did bear some resemblance to Hawk between the brows.

So…

She was very smart, and with her father being a sheriff, finding information was easy.

However!

"Abomination is dead, Hawk."

Hawk didn't speak.

He thought of Abomination, who was still alive and well in the movies, even being taken out of prison by some old king from a snowy mountain to fight in a ring.

He hadn't watched the subsequent plot, but if nothing unexpected happened, Abomination would be whitewashed.

If it weren't for his own matters, whether Abomination was whitewashed or blackened, he wouldn't bother to care.

But after that night, when Hawk thought of this matter again, he only felt one thing: disgust.

It was utterly disgusting!

As Hawk thought of this, flames churned in his heart, but they quickly subsided. He rubbed his face, then looked back at Gwen, smiling faintly: "By the way, Gwen, did you need me for something?"

The flames that had just surged in his eyes had now completely vanished, as if everything just now had been an illusion.

Gwen looked at Hawk, who had been exuding a vengeful aura one second and then returned to his easygoing state the next, her eyes filled with some concern.

But she could tell Hawk didn't want to continue the topic, so she didn't press further.

Gwen smiled slightly.

"New York University people are coming to the school today. Mrs. Snow couldn't find you, so she had to call me."

"New York University?"

"Hmm."

Gwen nodded: "Mrs. Snow said today is the day of decision. Let's go."

Hawk was about to nod.

The next second.

His gaze fell on the golf bag discarded on the ground nearby.

Hawk then looked at Gwen: "You go back first. I have someone I'm meeting to sell some things."

Gwen, who had already risen from the ground, heard this and also saw the golf bag placed nearby. She then looked at Hawk.

Their eyes met.

Gwen smiled slightly.

"Okay, then I'll wait for you outside so we can go back together."

"…Alright."

Hawk met Gwen's gaze, remained silent for a moment, nodded, and then watched Gwen walk towards the forest path.

Only after Gwen disappeared from his sight did he slowly retract his gaze, then his peripheral vision caught sight of the smile on his sister Anya's photo on the tombstone, and he looked back at it.

He didn't know why, but at this moment, in his eyes, his sister Anya in the photo seemed to have a hint of worry between her brows.

Hawk smiled slightly, as if talking to his sister Anya, or perhaps talking to himself.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine."

"You'll be fine too."

"Wait for me."

"It won't be long before I go to hell to bring you home!"

After Hawk finished speaking, he took a deep breath, and as he exhaled the stale air, his expression completely returned to normal. After getting up from the ground, he hooked the golf bag with his right foot, then firmly grabbed it with his hand, turned around, and left without looking back.

How does that saying go?

"Our condolences?"

Saying such nonsense is useless; if you have the guts, make your enemies grieve too!

Abomination!

Hulk!

He wouldn't let either of them go, and not only would he kill these two, but he would also find a way to go to hell and bring his sister back.

One day.

Soon.

Hawk thought silently, and then, after leaving the vicinity of his sister's tombstone, he saw a woman not far away.

A woman with a wild temperament, golden hair tied up, and profound, ice-blue-gray eyes, a woman with a nine-head body proportion.

Just as he looked at the woman not far away, she seemed to sense his gaze and looked over.

Their eyes confirmed each other.

Hawk nodded slightly.

The woman's eyes lit up, then she walked over. When she reached Hawk, she smiled and extended her right hand: "Anna."

Hawk shook her hand, feeling the calluses on the right hand of this woman named Anna: "Hawk."

After speaking, he withdrew his right hand, brought the golf bag from behind his back to the front, and opened it directly under the gaze of this woman, Anna.

Anna's eyes lit up again as she looked at the five glowing energy weapons inside the golf bag.

She instinctively reached out.

Hawk quickly closed the bag again before she could.

"Money!"

"Please wait."

Anna was startled at first, then smiled and said, then pressed her right hand to the earphone hidden by her hair near her ear and gave an instruction in French.

After a while.

A cool-looking man in a black suit, tall and burly, wearing sunglasses, appeared in sight.

The man was pushing a carry-on suitcase, about twenty inches.

Anna didn't let the man come over; instead, she went to him, took the suitcase from his hand, and after telling the man to leave, she walked back to Hawk and pushed the suitcase in her hand towards Hawk: "One million."

As Hawk reached out to take the suitcase, he also handed the golf bag containing the five alien weapons to Anna.

With a click.

The suitcase opened.

Instantly.

Stack after stack of neatly arranged, brand-new Franklins, filling the suitcase to the brim, came into Hawk's view.

Hawk instinctively took a sharp breath.

He couldn't be blamed.

He was simply too used to being poor; suddenly seeing so much money, anyone would be a little flustered.

But Hawk quickly recovered and didn't choose to check each bill to see if it was counterfeit.

He felt that the other party wouldn't be foolish enough to try to fool someone who possessed Chitauri alien weapons with counterfeit money.

After Hawk re-fastened the suitcase, he stood up and looked at Anna, who had also just finished inspecting the Chitauri alien weapons.

"So…"

Hawk was the first to speak, extending his right hand towards Anna: "Pleasure doing business, Ms. Anna."

Anna smiled and shook Hawk's hand: "Just call me Anna."

Hawk chuckled, accepting the change of address gracefully.

"Alright, pleasure doing business, Anna."

"Pleasure doing business, Mr. Hawk. By the way, we're friends now, aren't we?"

"Of course."

Hawk said indifferently.

Anna's smile, however, widened.

"That's wonderful! As a friend, I've prepared a gift for Mr. Hawk. I hope you'll like it."

"…"
