She said goodbye to McQueen as she entered her dorm, she had a fun day, even if the beginning of it wasn't the best but still, it was a good day.
And so she went back to her dorm, she wasn't sure if her roommate was going to be there or not, but it didn't really matter as all she wanted to do was take a bath and go to bed to be awake nice and early tomorrow to have fun with McQueen and annoy her trainer.
She did also have to start planning her takeover of the app sooner or later, but that was a problem for future Gold Ship, not current Gold Shi.
And so she opened the door to the room and was met with sad, almost sulking wailing.
"Huh?"
The wailing only continued this time at a higher tone.
"Hope?"
The wailing turned affirmative as her roommate peaked her head out of the covers and let her get a good luck at her puffy, red eyes.
"Gold Ship!" She wailed, "Help!"
She was stunned, what? How? Why?
She pondered all at the exact same moment as she only asked one question.
"Whats wrong?"
"I don't think I'll ever get a phone!!"
"…" That's it? That's why she was sulking? She's sulking because she didn't get a phone?
That was… oddly childish… it was… very out of character, in her opinion, for her roommate to be acting like this.
"And… why is that a problem?" She didn't understand why, plenty of Uma's didn't have phones, and those that wanted one could always go and buy one with their prize money or just the money they made from work.
"I always asked my dad," she sniffled, "If I could get one, sniff, but he always said no… that I wasn't responsible enough yet, or that we didn't have the funds… that it rotted my brain… in other words he always stopped me from getting a phone… sniff… so…sniff… when I found out I made money from winning races I asked the school council president if I could buy one… she said that I had to ask my trainer… sniff… he said no!"
She was sulking because she was refused the opportunity to get a phone… well, everybody had their quirks, she always just expected that her roommates only quirks was to have nightmares, suddenly decelerate or even just stop when it came to racing and even being enamoured with her sister, Orfevre. Never had she expected her to have such a sore point when it came to not owning a phone.
It was actually king of adorable, well… except for the snot.
"Well… I see, sadly there's not much I can do, but come here let's get you washed up, I don't want the trainer angry at me for you getting sick," She sighed as she took her teammates hand and led her to the bathroom.
Unbeknownst to her however, somebody was watching, from underneath a cardboard box, silently noting down what had just transpired, before it calmly went away, none the wiser of its appearance.
…
She calmly moved her way back to her dorm room before getting out of the cardboard box.
Her hair now free waved majestically in the nonexistent air of the hallway, it didn't matter however for her hair waved anyway, her will great enough to command it to move on its own.
And so she opened the door to her dorm room, "Sister! I have an announcement!"
She said as she entered the room and looked at her sister who was calmly writing something down, whether it was plans on how to incapacitate their trainer, kidnap him, force him to marry her, or merely kill the 'devilish' Curren-chan, she didn't know, nor did she care, for she had a matter of greater importance to take care of.
"Yes Oru?"
"I require your assistance in finding the greatest phone for my beloved! I shall not let her cry in despair as she weeps her inability to access the virtual world!"
"I see, yes Oru, I will work on that right away."
She said as she turned back around, closed what she was writing in and pulled out a laptop from somewhere.
While she, went to take a bath, she had a date she wished to go on after all.
…
She layed in bed wrapped tight in covers from her roommate, "Thanks Goldshi…"
"It's no problem I just didn't want the trainer to nag me with extra laps."
"I see… Thanks anyway, Gold Ship," She said as she turned on her side to go to bed, she was more tired than usual and not in a good sense, in which her energy is drained because she had a good practice or because she ran her heart out.
No, she was more tired because she was sulking for three hours straight before her roommate arrived and gave her a bath.
To say she was embarrassed was an understatement, the only saving grace is that Gold Ship all but threw her in the bath before putting on a blind fold before washing her, the only problem was that the blind fold didn't look like a blindfold.
But… who was she, the country bumpkin to question what the person who lived in the city when it came to modern blindfolds, that one would wear when their eyes were damaged.
Either way, she went to bed, after uttering a quick "Good night".
And she dreamed of something else… she didn't dream of a young umamusume who she had met almost as if it was fate.
Nor did she dream of her greatest sin.
No.
She dreamed of that which she wished to she most of all…
The everdistant utopia that only appears in her dreams.
…
She groaned as she got out of bed, she slept better than usual, oddly enough, the last time she slept this well, was… the night after her greatest sin, the night in which her adopted father let her sleep with him.
Wasn't that the last time she had this dream as well?
How odd.
Was it a sign?
A pattern?
It couldn't be, the time before that had been the night after she had met Orfy, after all there was no dream of grass covered hills and of a tower sitting in the middle overlooking everything.
She sighed at the absurdity of it all, looked outside and only just then realized that she sun was just now rising.
With a slight huff, she got up and went to wash up before heading out for a morning run, before heading to class.
…
Her breathing was steady and calm as she ran around the track, it was a rather, in her opinion, slow jog, she would have much rather went faster but her trainer had seen her in the morning one time and all but ordered her to only jog in the morning and not run too seriously.
Which was absurd!
Who was he to tell her how to run.
That's what she told him, his answer to her was, "I'm your trainer." Which was… an argument she couldn't counter and so, whenever she woke up early she would only jog.
Because well… he did know better than her.
She sighed as she finished her tenth lap of the kilometre long track in just under 14 minutes as she stretched, it would have went so much faster if she was allowed to run, if that was the case then she would have had 7 minutes to spare.
But, alas, she didn't have the luxury of spending an extra 7 minutes to play with Gold Ship. But that was life, who was she to rage against its unfairness.
She went to leave the track when suddenly she stepped on a banana and slipped.
It was then that she realized she was going to fall.
Because of a banana.
She swore, that she would have vengeance against whoever left this banana peal here of all places.
But just when her body had reached a 75 degree angle…
She felt a pair of hands hold her.
She looked up and felt heat rising to her face as she looked at that beautiful smile and those absolutely majestic eyes, that beautiful hair.
And she could only look closer and closer as Orfevre slowly brought her closer and closer, her hands, which had gripped both her hips and her back drew her in closer and closer.
She felt a strange heat, build up inside her as she looked at the person who was terrifyingly replacing her beloved Orfy in her memories, it scared her, and yet… it didn't.
The feeling was so bizarre that a part of her wanted to switch the tables and be the one being forward at this point.
If only to avenge itself for the wrong that it perceived Orfevre to have committed.
It was then, however that she spoke with her smooth almost seducting voice, "I ask you this, my consort, would you like to go a date with me?"

A day in the life of Kenichi Ikezoe.
I wake up in my house to the absence of my wife and the mother of my child. She sadly died in an accident just after Sweep had been born, leaving me to take care of her since she was born.
The only problem was that well… "YADA YADA YADA!" She would refuse to do something if it didn't benefit her.
"Sweep…. Please just eat the toast I have to go to work…"
"YADA YADA!"
He groaned in pain, truly to be Ikezoe was to suffer.
After an hour of dealing with her shenanigans he finally managed to get her to go school and for him to go to work, it was their where his day was truly ruined.
Dream Journey would kick him in the back of his knee and try to bite him for whatever reason.
When questioned she would respond that she was simply marking her territory,
Truly to be Ikezoe is to suffer.
Orfevre was fantasizing about going on a date with her childhood sweetheart, which thankfully let him actually get some rest.
But then, he had to try to real in Durandal while dealing with his daughter who came for practice albeit begrudgingly.
The saddest part about it all was that Curren-chan was nowhere to be found.
And so, Ikezoe wept, for to be Ikezoe is to suffer.
