Chapter 79 - The Shichibukai Betray

Seeing the arrival of these people, Shirohige and the others were slightly stunned.

Where did these brats come from who dared to interfere in a peak-level battle like this?

It should be noted, at this level, those whose strength wasn't equivalent to an Admiral didn't even have the qualifications to approach; the residual waves of attacks alone were enough to injure ordinary Marines and pirates.

However, after they saw those people's faces clearly, the corners of their mouths twitched.

The brats who came turned out to be the newcomers on the Hidden Expert List, the luckiest pirate group: the Straw Hat Pirates.

Luffy and his group's names were now famous throughout the world. All their crew members successfully made it onto the Hidden Expert List. Indeed, even the Gold List called them people with great fortune.

"Luffy, long time no see!" Shanks smiled. He really liked this cheerful young man.

Initially he thought it would take a long time for Luffy to grow to a satisfactory level, but the appearance of the Gold List had drastically changed the world order. Not only had the Pirate King of the past been resurrected, even this once naive kid had now made it onto the Hidden Expert List. It seemed that soon he would be able to stand on equal footing with them.

"Shanks!" Luffy, hearing someone call him, turned around.

He was very happy and immediately rushed forward, hugging Shanks' head like a koala while shouting: "I really missed you, Shanks!"

Shanks gently patted Luffy's back, feeling very moved. After a while, Luffy jumped down, pressed the straw hat on his head and said proudly: "Shanks, you see? I've reached the Grand Line, and I'll soon become the Pirate King!"

Shanks nodded proudly: "Yes, I've seen your efforts!"

Roger looked at Luffy with curiosity and asked: "Shanks, is the straw hat on that kid's head the one I gave you before?"

Shanks nodded while smiling: "He's the one I chose!"

Roger nodded slowly: "Your taste is very good!"

Even Shanks himself didn't expect that the kid he chose would be acknowledged to such an extent by an entity like the Gold List to the point of entering the top ten of the Hidden Expert List.

"Luffy, why did you come here? Go back quickly!" Ace walked closer and scolded with an annoyed but caring tone. Since these two brothers had met before, they weren't too emotional at this moment.

Luffy looked toward the port and said: "I want to take Grandpa away, you can't beat him up!"

Ace sighed: "If Grandpa is willing to listen to you, that's certainly best!"

Luffy clenched his fist: "If Grandpa won't listen, I'll beat him unconscious then take him away!"

Dragon, wearing a hooded black robe, snorted coldly: "Smelly brat, this isn't your business. Get out of here quickly! The matter of my father, let me settle it myself!"

The Revolutionary Army leader, Dragon, was the biological father of the Straw Hat Pirates' captain, Luffy. This was the first meeting of this father and son after many years.

Everyone fell silent without words; this family was truly strange. This kid seemed not yet aware that his grandfather was an extraordinary legendary figure. With his current strength, wanting to fight Garp was just a pipe dream.

Garp himself, seeing his own grandson had arrived at the battlefield, his face twitched: "Why did that little bastard come too!"

He felt awkward all around. He didn't want to see his grandson on the battlefield, especially now standing on the opposite side from him.

This situation was indeed quite absurd. This family were all legends; Garp was the Marine Hero whose strength surpassed the three Admirals, his son Dragon was the Revolutionary Army leader, and both were in the top 20 of the Strongest List. While his grandson was now a great pirate with a bounty of hundreds of millions of belly who made it into the top 10 of the Hidden Expert List. It could be said, three generations of this family stood in three opposing camps.

"Father, come with me! Join the Revolutionary Army, let's build a new World Government and return light to this world!" Dragon shouted in a loud voice carried by the wind in all directions.

Garp snorted coldly: "Nonsense! I was born as a Marine, and will die as a Marine's soul! You brat dare to rebel!"

Because too much time had been wasted, Kaido began to lose patience and shouted: "Stop talking so much, quickly finish this battle!"

While speaking, he transformed again into a magnificent giant dragon and dove sharply toward Sengoku's side. With Kaido's movement, the deadlock between both sides instantly broke.

The giant Buddha behind Sengoku let out a booming sound, his body enlarged one more level with dazzling golden light, and threw a hard punch toward the dragon's head.

"Call Wind and Rain—" Dragon's body slowly floated, his arm raised slightly.

Instantly fierce wind blew, black clouds gathered quickly, lightning began to appear, and terrifying tornado vortexes began to form.

"Kukan Shindo (Air Quake)—"

Shirohige's muscular right arm tensed, he struck the air beside him. The air instantly cracked like glass, and long cracks visible to the naked eye spread wildly toward the port.

Sword aura slashes crisscrossed splitting the ice layer. Giant ice chunks floated as if weightless surrounding Shiki.

Garp enveloped his entire body with advanced Busoshoku Haki (Ryuo) that emitted a glow of light.

The three Admirals no longer held back, each unleashing their abilities facing the pirate side.

Sengoku, facing Kaido and Big Mom alone, felt very pressured. The giant Buddha behind him began to waver. He shouted angrily at the Shichibukai who were still standing still: "What are you doing? Quickly stop them, bastards—!"

However, the Shichibukai still didn't move.

Doflamingo laughed strangely: "Sengoku, the situation is already clear now. The Marines and World Government have definitely lost. We don't need to help you anymore. Moreover, you've already deceived us; if we had known from the start that the Gorosei were seriously injured and couldn't act, we would never have agreed to your request."

The other Shichibukai members didn't speak, but their attitude was already clear.

The Marine side almost vomited blood; at such a critical time the Shichibukai betrayed them. Truly a pack of wolves who didn't know how to repay kindness. But now wasn't the time to provoke them. If these seven people joined the pirate side, the situation would be far worse.

In reality, even without the participation of these seven people, their resistance already looked very shaky. Even figures of Garp and Sengoku's caliber couldn't withstand the combined onslaught of so many peak experts from the pirate side. In just a few minutes, they began to be pushed back.

The earth shattered, mountains shook, the sky changed color. The pirate alliance with unstoppable momentum stormed into Mary Geoise.
