Chapter 2 - Chapeter 3; Revenge to the gods

After the defeat of Zeneb, the fourteen teenagers became legends across the galaxy. Their names spread from world to world, spoken with awe—and fear. They had defied a force meant to rule creation and survived.

In time, they were summoned before the King of the Galaxy, the god Zeus.

Zeus did not merely reward them. He tested their resolve, fought beside them, and grew to trust them. Together, they stood against the darkness rising beyond the stars. Yet among all the enemies they would face, one name would echo the longest:

Saber.

Before he became a slayer of gods, Saber had been a protector.

Saber lived on Vega, a planet of breathtaking beauty and ancient legend. Mountains brushed the clouds, rivers shone like glass, and its people lived in harmony. Saber ruled a small village as chief—not through fear, but through loyalty. His family stood with him, and his people trusted him completely.

That life ended in a single heartbeat.

A god descended from the heavens and claimed Vega as his own. There was no warning. No mercy.

The command was simple: kill them all.

Saber watched his village burn. He heard screams fade into silence. He saw his family cut down before him, powerless to stop it. When the god finally turned away, Vega lay still.

Saber was the only one left.

Hollow and broken, he fell to his knees and asked for one final request.

"Let me die in my village."

The god laughed—and agreed. Two soldiers were ordered to escort Saber back and end his life. But along the journey, grief hardened into rage. Rage sharpened into resolve.

Saber killed them both.

Instead of returning home, he climbed the tallest mountain on Vega. Legends whispered that long ago, a demon had fallen there—cursed by the gods and sealed into the form of a sword.

His name was Zamasu.

"Why have you come, mortal?" Zamasu asked, his voice like a nightmare remembered.

"I want power," Saber said. "Power to destroy the gods."

Zamasu laughed, the sound cracking the air. "I will grant it—if you swear this oath: all gods must die."

Saber did not hesitate.

Host: Thus, a dark contract was forged. Bound by hatred, Saber and Zamasu traveled the galaxy, hunting gods and leaving ruin in their wake.

Zamasu's return shook the heavens. When Zeus learned of it, dread filled his heart—especially when he heard Zamasu sought a mortal named Zumba.

"Why him?" Zeus asked.

The answer came too late.

Gods from across the galaxy gathered on a distant world. Zumba and his friends stood among them. Then the sky shattered.

A storm of pure darkness swallowed the planet. Lightning vanished. Wind screamed and died. Those caught within were destroyed instantly.

"It's a trap!" Zeus roared. "Run!"

Host: The storm pursued them relentlessly. From its core, a colossal hand emerged, reaching down to crush everything beneath it.

Zumba raised Ayo, calling on every spark of thunder he possessed. A shield of lightning formed—but the force was overwhelming.

Ayo cracked.

"No… Ayo," Zumba whispered.

"I will endure," Ayo replied faintly. "But I must heal."

Zeus's voice lowered with grim certainty. "The god who cursed Zamasu was once Ayo's master. Legend says only Ayo can destroy him."

Zumba's resolve hardened. "Then I won't let that curse stand."

"What will Zamasu do next?" Zambia asked.

"He will choose the simplest path," Zeus said. "With Ayo weakened, he will strike now—at the Wish Chamber."

Zumba carried Ayo to the peak of a storm-wrapped mountain on a distant world. Lightning tore the sky as he drew the storm down, feeding the blade until its glow slowly returned.

Elsewhere, Saber and Zamasu reached the Wish Chamber.

"We are here," Saber said.

"At last," Zamasu replied.

Host: The chamber erupted as the gods stormed in, followed by Zumba and his friends. The battle that followed shook reality itself. Even united, they struggled against Zamasu's power.

Ayo was nearly restored—but time had run out.

Saber broke from the fight and charged at Zumba, blade raised to end his life.

At the final moment, Ayo surged into Zumba's hand, fully awakened. Thunder exploded across the chamber.

Zamasu screamed as his curse shattered.

As the demon fell, Saber turned away.

He ran.

Saber sealed himself inside the Wish Chamber. Zumba reached the gate seconds too late.

"What will you gain?" Zumba shouted. "If you destroy the gods, you'll lose everything again!"

The words echoed in Saber's mind.

Still, he made his wish.

The universe answered.

The gods lived.

Saber had wished for every soul slain on Vega to be restored.

The wish was granted.

Saber began to fade, his body dissolving into light.

"It is the price," Zeus said softly. "To gain something of equal value, something must be lost."

Saber smiled, tears in his eyes. "I won't see another sunrise… but my family will. That is enough."

Host: Saber vanished, redeemed not by revenge, but by sacrifice.

And so ended one tragedy among many in the legend known as The Sound of Thunder.
