Now he stood atop a skyscraper, overlooking Night City illuminated by neon lights.
At Corpo Plaza, flames were consuming the buildings of major corporations, while masses of people pushed through the streets amid chaos, gunfire, and unending screams.
But to Leon, all that still seemed insufficient.
This city fed on people.
Corporations extracted the last bit of value from ordinary citizens, while the innocent served as fuel for a machine that never stopped grinding everything in front of it.
Night City was rotten to its foundations.
That is why fire alone is not enough.
Fire can drive away the darkness, but when it goes out, it cannot bring light. In the end, only darkness remains again.
That is why Leon must gather everyone's help and become the eternal light of this city.
The brightest light creates the deepest shadow.
