Just as the awkwardness between Orion and Sofia couldn't get any worse, Lilian finally returned from her meeting with the priestess.
"Everything's okay?" she asked as she took a seat.
"Yeah… why wouldn't everything be fine?" Sofia replied, forcing a smile.
"Okay, but why are you both red?" Lilian asked, looking at Orion. "Are you feeling sick?"
"Maybe it's because of the lights," Orion said quickly.
Lilian remained a little suspicious, but she didn't think too much of it.
"By the way," Sofia said, eager to change the subject, "what did you talk about with the priestess?"
"Nothing much… nothing that concerns you," Lilian replied, turning her head away.
Orion immediately understood that whatever Lilian had discussed with the priestess wasn't good news.
"Wow, rude," Sofia said with a pout. "You could've just said, 'It's a secret,' you know."
Lilian yawned. "I think we should get going. I'm feeling a bit sleepy," she said, glancing at Orion.
