The wilderness outside Kikyō Mountain Castle had turned into a living nightmare, a landscape etched in fire and the metallic scent of fresh blood. After paying a staggering price in lives, Sunagakure's desperate retreat order finally began to take hold. Under the hoarse, commanding shouts of their surviving officers, the main body of the army barely managed to disengage from the jagged claws of the wall defenders and Orochimaru's flanking serpents. Like a massive, wounded beast, the Sand host dragged its battered limbs and began a slow, agonizing crawl toward the safety of the Land of Rivers.

High above the chaos, the fierce battle of the titans continued. Fourth Kazekage Rasa pushed his Magnet Release to its absolute breaking point. The golden tide of Gold Dust no longer sought to kill; instead, it transformed into a swirling, atmospheric defense, flowing shields, massive intercepting walls, and giant, grasping hands that desperately tried to pin down the elusive Golden Flash.

Every teleportation and strike by Minato Namikaze was forcibly repelled or disrupted by Rasa's wide-scale maneuvers. Although the Kazekage couldn't inflict a single scratch on the blond ninja, he was successfully containing an enemy that would have been a god of death to any ordinary Suna ninja. Rasa was acting as the village's primary anchor, burning through his chakra to create the only window of survival his men had left.

On the flank, Elder Chiyo and Ebizo were at the end of their endurance. Ebizo was deathly pale, his chakra reserves flickering, and yet another of Chiyo's master-level puppets was crushed under the weight of the Great Snake, Manda. But the siblings, relying on decades of shared combat and a fierce, unspoken will to protect their home, remained stubbornly in place. Using a combination of poison mists, illusions, and concealed traps, they maintained a precarious defensive line. They were the only thing stopping Orochimaru from driving his fangs into the heart of the retreating Suna formation.

At the very rear of the army, Sayo stood as the final barrier. Taking command in the heat of the crisis, he displayed a clinical calmness that seemed impossible for a youth. He had efficiently integrated the surviving fragments of the Puppet Squad into a mobile defensive perimeter - a circle of wood and steel that was constantly eroded by pursuit but never fully broken.

"Left flank Shield Puppets, advance three steps! Brace for the shuriken volley!"

"Right flank Attack Puppets, fire at the tree line! Suppress those Fire Release users!"

"Spider Team Three, coordinates at one o'clock, initialize self-destruct! Buy us ten seconds!"

His orders were amplified by chakra, cutting through the din of battle like a steady signal in a sea of static. His Iron Sand rushed to wherever the line threatened to buckle, acting as a high-speed troubleshooter that reinforced defenses or launched sudden, kinetic counter-strikes. The Mirage platform carried him through the air, allowing him to oversee the entire tactical layout. Under his command, the puppeteers used their machines as expendable shields to offset the crushing pressure from the pursuing Konoha forces.

It seemed, for a fleeting moment, that Sunagakure's main force might actually escape the slaughter. They were on the verge of breaking direct contact with the castle walls and entering the open plains. Once there, the speed of the retreat could accelerate, and the hope of survival would no longer be a fantasy.

A faint spark of hope ignited in the hearts of every Sand ninja, from the exhausted Rasa down to the bloodied Genin in the trenches.

But the Hidden Leaf had not spent months preparing this trap just to leave an obvious exit.

Just as the Suna column prepared to break away from the dense forest on the left wing, the environment itself seemed to explode. Earth-shattering battle cries erupted from the silence of the trees. A fresh team of Konoha ninjas descended like a storm of divine wrath. Their target was not the rear guard, but the exact "waist" of the Suna column. They struck with a calculated ruthlessness, intended to sever the retreating army in two.

The leader of this new force was a man of massive, stout build, yet he moved with a steady, unshakeable grace. He wore the Konoha Jonin vest and bore the unmistakable paint marks of his lineage, it was Akimichi Torifu, the current head of the Akimichi Clan. He wasn't leading regular conscripts; he was leading the elite guard unit directly under the Konoha Command Post, supported by a combined force of the Yamanaka and Nara clans.

"Partial Expansion Jutsu: Pushing Hand!"

Torifu's roar shook the very air. His arm swelled to the size of a siege engine, sweeping forward with the momentum of a battering ram. The terrifying force instantly blasted through a dozen Suna ninjas, shattering their puppets and shields alike. A massive gap was torn into the retreat formation in an instant.

"Shadow Imitation Jutsu: Strangulation!" "Mind Body Disturbance Technique!"

The Nara and Yamanaka specialists followed up immediately. Invisible shadows snaked across the sand to bind the limbs of the survivors, while mental shocks rippled through the Sand's ranks, turning allies against one another in a frantic, confused infighting.

This fresh force had been timed and positioned with surgical precision. It was as if Konoha had predicted every movement of Suna's retreat, waiting in the shadows for the exact moment hope was highest to deliver the killing blow.

The Suna main force was sliced open at the waist. The column was now in fragments, isolated pockets of men unable to support the front or the rear. The path back was blocked by Sayo's rear-guard struggle; the path forward was held by the iron wall of Akimichi Torifu; and the flank was still being devoured by Orochimaru.

The complete encirclement was achieved.

Sunagakure was now a fly caught in a masterfully woven spiderweb. Every struggle only tightened the threads. Despair, cold and absolute, replaced the flickering hope of the soldiers.

Sayo, watching from the Mirage, felt his breath hitch in his throat. Logan's engineering soul analyzed the battlefield and saw the "Zero-Percent" survival probability. Konoha's counterattack wasn't just a repulsion; it was a total annihilation script.

Rasa let out a roar of pure, metallic agony from above, but Minato's golden flashes kept him pinned, preventing him from descending to save his people. Chiyo and Ebizo were similarly locked in their own hell against Manda's thrashing coils.

The Hidden Sand had fallen into a ten-sided ambush with no exit. Kikyō Mountain was no longer a battlefield; it was a tomb that was currently closing its lid on the last of Suna's strength.
