Evie stood in front of the Supreme Pavilion, breathing in and out, trying to calm her chaotic heart. "Okay, then, ready," she said and was met by Hillary at the door. "Welcome, Lady Elara," she said, looking down, all the previous animosity gone; it looked like she was the type to bully the weak and was afraid of the strong. "His Majesty has been waiting for you to come, and he asked me to let him know once you have arrived, so let me go inform him," she said. "Meanwhile, please wait in the reception room," she said, leading her there.
Evie followed her, entering the reception room for the first time, and marvelled at how grand it was compared to hers in the Moonlight Pavilion. There were big seats, well-cushioned and covered in velvet, and on the dais was a large throne. Evie took a seat, looking around while Cathy, Helga, and Lila stood quietly behind her. Then they all turned to look at the door, hearing rushed footsteps outside, and the emperor rushed in.
