"Your Highness, the invitation from my family has arrived", Cathy said, holding some scrolls, "but the emperor is at the door again". Cathy said, sitting down. "Why do you look sad? Are you feeling sorry for him?" Evie asked, adjusting her pillow with a yawn, a bit. "I am very angry at what he has done, but I also feel bad for him. Whenever I see him at the door, he looks so lost", she said.
Evie understood Cathy's feelings. As much as she was her lady-in-waiting, she was also Reign's cousin, and she would still feel bad for him if she saw him emotional, so she didn't expect her to be on her side a hundred per cent like Helga and Lila were.
"Can you open the doors and go ask Arthur to prepare us a carriage for tomorrow, and specify I don't want to share it with the emperor?" Evie said, yawning and turning, adjusting her pillows, going back to sleep for the umpteenth time that day.
