"Your Highness, rumours have it on the streets that you gave the duchy to Lady Elara just to coerce her into taking medication," Renata asked, sitting on the throne opposite Reign.
"You didn't hear from the street; you heard it from Catherine," Reign said without looking up from his scroll.
"Yes, I did, Your Highness, but granting a title for something that small, is that okay?" she asked.
"No, but I would have given her a title regardless of the situation," he said. "She is pregnant and her position is low regardless, so why not use it to get her to take her medication?" he said.
"If people hear about that, it will earn her a lot of hate, especially from Isabella," she said.
"Isabella does not have the ability to hurt her; she can only resort to petty reasons like feigning sickness," he responded.
"I don't really think so," Renata said. "I believe she is capable of so much more than the front she is putting on," she added.
