Chapter 5 - Chapter 5(Déjà Vu)

The two find themselves in a grand castle Hall.

The hall spanned to over 10 acres, vast enough that its far ends faded into gentle hazes

Its walls were painted white with golden swirls.

The ceiling was made of polished white stone. From them hung chandeliers made of transparent glass within them a blue circular crystal was housed which constantly gave off energy. As the energy touched the glass it gave a golden hue to the Castle hall.

The guests were dressed in fabrics made from beast fur, scales, or feathers.

Some wore ornaments such pendants, earrings which gave off a certain glow or had unique designs.

Many guests had exotic pets perched proudly on their shoulders.

White snakes with red glowing eyes calmly wrapped around their masters necks, blue velvet snakes with yellow eyes, mouse-like beasts with thick white fur and long tails and some had wyvern-like birds upon their shoulders.

Guards were placed at all entrances, some guarding outside.

The hall was filled with people of all races (Giants, Humans, Elves).

At the front of the grand hall stood the royal dais.

Its carpets were made with high-end quality red velvet beast fur.

The main throne was made of gold. On its rail was made of thick pure white fur and white scales.

The spindle as well as the seat were made of dark-colored hide.

The throne was grand in size.

The other two were of similar design but smaller.

There was a door at the far end of the dais.

From it came the king.

He wore a white garment with golden trimmings within and a robe with thick red fur. On his head was a crown of simple design made of a yellow crystal. His structure was towering, over 6.5 feet tall.

After him came Rose Ember.

She wore a gown with the bottom part dressed with blue reptilian-like scales. The bodice was made from white thick fur with feathers of different colors attached to her collar. Her blonde hair was made into a soft braid with exotic red roses.

After her came little Arthur, who was ten by now, and Leo, who was 7. They were both dressed in black suits.

The room fell silent as the king stepped in.

"Presenting his majesty, Andrew Ember, King of Revilia," Erwin heralded him.

"Presenting Rose Ember, daughter of King Andrew."

"Presenting Arthur Ember, first son of King Ember."

"Presenting Leo Ember, second son of King Ember."

After Erwin had made their presence known, he stepped aside from the dais.

The king walks to the edge of the dais.

"Lords, Ladies, and common folk. Elves, Humans, and Giants alike, I greet you all."

"I thank you all, for gracing us with your presence this evening. That you have crossed crushing torrents, harsh deserts, climbed towering hills to answer to our call, is truly appreciated."

"Kind gestures like these are what make us render all our strength to maintain good lives for you all."

"Once again I thank you all for joining us in celebrating my son's coming of age."

The crowd erupted into applause.

Erwin walks up to him and whispers something into his ear.

"Ah yes. How can I forget."

"Since this is a special day, I will be gifting all children becoming of age weapons from Revilia's best blacksmith."

Two soldiers walked up to the dais carrying a large blue chest with golden furnishings.

"In these chests are Fair-tier weapons."

The crowd erupted into applause again.

Children of different races stepped and walked towards the dais.

"Come forth and claim your rewards," said King Andrew.

A young elf was the first to walk up.

With a bow, she addressed herself.

"I am Celia of the Elvin House of Oak. I am honored to be graced by your presence."

Andrew fell silent for a while.

This caused the girl to be startled.

He gets closer to her, which only makes her more nervous.

She let out a slight squeak sound in terror.

She begins bowing down repeatedly.

"Forgive my loftiness, Your Highness."

"HAHAHAHA," King Andrew laughs at the sight of the young girl's actions.

"Don't be so alarmed, you just remind me of a certain fellow."

"Do you happen to know anyone by the name Roderick? I think they call him Z."

"Yes. He's my elder brother," Celia replies.

"You share a striking resemblance to him. He is a strong warrior. I hope you grow up to be one too."

"I will," Celia replies.

"DAAD!!" Arthur replies, embarrassed by his father's behavior, to which Rose and Leo just chuckle.

Celia walks up to the chest and picks a bow.

It was made of white wood with dark spirals. On its rest were two blue projections made of a blue metal. The tips at both ends were covered with long feathers.

Its quilt was covered with dark hide. Its arrows had feathers of different colors at its end, and its tips were made of strange crystals. Some arrow tips made of white crystals, some pink, some dark, others with regular iron.

Excitement shone in Celia's eyes even though she tried her best not to show it.

She bows down to King Andrew, who just smiles and heads down.

Others also stepped forth, claiming their weapons.

Some took long swords which had dark-colored blades, others took scythes with blue parts of the blade made of blue metal, others took spears which had tips made of plain metal but with dark spirals, some took axes with long handles and magma-looking blades which could lace themselves in flames, and so many other types of weapons.

As Andrew was handing out the weapons and greeting the children, a soldier walked up to him and whispered something into his ear.

"Forgive me, but something urgent came up that I must attend to," said King Andrew, excusing himself.

Leo, alongside the old man, was watching this.

Leo's expression changed to one of rage.

"Stirs up some bad memories, huh?" the old man said, as he noticed Leo's change in mood.

"DAMN IT!!!," Leo screams inwardly.
