Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Abyss Tides, Ferocious Wolf Douluo!

Sun Moon Federation.

Snow City.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!"

The autumn wind was bleak, carrying endless cold, sweeping across the wilderness and over the city.

Looking around, the once prosperous Snow City was now desolate, with ruins and broken walls, the city destroyed and people dead; the land stained with dark red bloodstains seemed to have lost its vitality, becoming utterly gray and desolate.

Within a hundred miles of Snow City, everything seemed to have been visited by the Grim Reaper, gray and desolate.

"Count the casualties, do everything in our power to rescue the surviving Federation citizens, and at the same time mobilize reserve hidden resources to repair Snow City in the shortest possible time! Hurry!"

A general in military uniform, with three silver stars on his shoulder, ordered solemnly, his eyes filled with an indelible sorrow and reluctance.

Beside him stood a dark mecha, with hideous cracks on its surface, slightly swirling with ominous black air currents.

As his words fell, purple mechs roared through the air behind him, rapidly rushing into Snow City. Within Snow City, aid from within the Federation had already begun.

Outside Snow City, Soul Guidance Emergency Centers had been erected, their sturdy, silver-white metal walls offering a touch of warmth amidst the biting cold.

"Where am I? What happened to me? Wasn't I awakening my Martial Soul? Why does my head hurt so much?"

In the bright lights of the Soul Guidance Emergency Center, Jiang Xiu slowly awoke from his pristine white bed, a clear look of confusion in his eyes as he surveyed his surroundings.

"I remember now, it's the Abyss Tide! But how could something like that appear in Snow City?!"

After a moment, Jiang Xiu seemed to recall something, a flicker of surprise crossing his eyes, his expression one of utter disbelief.

He wasn't actually from this world, but from Earth. In his previous life, he was in a shopping mall when he was surprised to find an exquisitely crafted Shadow King figurine. But the moment he touched it, everything went black, and he lost consciousness.

With a blink of an eye, he found himself in the world of Douluo, still in swaddling clothes.

After six years of observation, Jiang Xiu realized that the strongest being on the continent was now the Sky-Supporting Douluo, Yun Ming.

He also understood that he was living in the best and worst of times of the Legend of the Dragon King.

The good thing was that Tang Shenwang and the God Realm had been abducted; the bad thing was the Abyss's attack, the revenge of soul beasts, the Holy Spirit Cult's collusion with the enemy to destroy the world, and Tang Shenwang's long-term plan.

For ordinary people, simply surviving was already difficult.

"Sigh, I don't even know what my martial soul is. Without absolute strength, I can't even survive properly, let alone control my own destiny."

Suppressing the turbulent thoughts in his heart, Jiang Xiu sighed softly. In this era, natural disasters and man-made calamities were rampant. To avoid being slaughtered, one had to be strong enough, at the very least becoming a Soul Master.

Today should have been the day of his martial soul awakening, but just as he stepped into the awakening array, and his martial soul was about to be summoned, a tremendous roar resounded in the sky. Immediately afterward, countless abyssal creatures descended from the heavens in dense, overwhelming numbers.

Jiang Xiu could never forget that scene: a dark, swarming mass, like a black tide, layer upon layer, crashing down upon Snow City, frantically plundering all life.

The soul master who was awakening him was thrown into a panic, and the awakening ceremony was interrupted. After vaguely hearing a resounding dragon's roar and feeling an extreme darkness, Jiang Xiu lost consciousness. When he awoke, he was already in this hospital room.

"Isn't the Abyssal Tide something that only appears in the Abyssal Passage? Why is it appearing above Snow City? And at this time, the Demon Emperor shouldn't have become a god yet. With the suppression of the plane, the Abyss shouldn't be able to invade."

"And how come I didn't die under such a terrifying Abyssal Tide?"

Jiang Xiu's fair and handsome face furrowed, his strange purple eyes filled with confusion. Thoughts flashed through his mind, but he rejected them one by one.

This Abyssal Tide was eerie in every way, as if some invisible hand was pushing it from behind.

"Don't think about that too much for now. Awakening my Martial Soul is the most important thing. This should be the Federation's temporary emergency center."

Muttering to himself, Jiang Xiu propped himself up, preparing to get out of bed and survey his surroundings.

He knew very well that in this world where strength reigned supreme, when one's strength was low, any thoughts were merely empty words.

"Little one, lie still in bed, don't move around, okay? I don't like naughty children."

But just then, a gentle female voice rang out, and a female Soul Master dressed in white robes approached.

She immediately lifted Jiang Xiu, who had just climbed out of bed, back onto the bed and tenderly covered him with a blanket. She was a healing-type Soul Master sent by the Federation this time.

"I..."

Jiang Xiu was stunned, about to say something, but then he saw the gentle-faced female Soul Master place a slender finger on his lips and say,

"Little mouth, don't speak."

"You've just woken up, it's not good for you to move around. Come, let me check you again to see if there are any other injuries. Why are you blushing? Don't be shy."

"..."

But at this moment, neither of them noticed that under the light, there wasn't a single shadow beside Jiang Xiu.

"Buzzing!"

A deafening roar echoed across the distant sky as a streak of crimson light flashed past, arriving before the gates of Snow City in an instant.

The three-star general who had been there earlier quickly ran to the red mecha and bowed respectfully.

The red mecha hissed as the cockpit opened, and a burly middle-aged man stepped out. He had a fierce appearance, dark skin, and slightly protruding, bell-like eyes, giving him a somewhat menacing look.

On his shoulder sat a large banner adorned with five pentagrams and patterns of sun, moon, mountains, and rivers.

"Reporting to the commander, our Western Legion soldiers, after the battle, have immediately entered the city to provide relief, as ordered by you,"the general said respectfully, looking at the middle-aged man with reverence.

For the man before him was none other than Dong Zi'an, the commander of their Western Legion, a master of a god-level mecha, a Limit Douluo, and the titled Ferocious Wolf Douluo!

"Hmm, Li Jie, you did well this time."

Dong Zi'an, exuding an aura of iron will, nodded slightly, then looked at the ravaged Snow City, a hint of unspeakable melancholy flickering in his fierce eyes.

The once prosperous Snow City had been transformed into a living hell in just one day, countless Federation citizens perishing.

"Commander, this Abyss Tide..."

Li Jie hesitated for a moment before tentatively asking.

"I've already contacted the Blood God Legion. Xue Yi told me that the Abyss Passage is now completely quiet, without any disturbances.

So, for the Abyss Tide to be able to descend upon Snow City from thousands of miles away is definitely not ordinary!"

Dong Zi'an's eyes narrowed slightly, as if deep in thought, his outward expression remaining unchanged, but inwardly he sighed.

"Has the Douluo level's ability to withstand the Abyss's suppression weakened to this extent...?"
