Chapter 57 - Chapter 57

 Chapter 57 A Tumultuous Year

Finney Hellseg lingered at the entrance for a moment before finally buying a ticket and going inside. He had actually visited the Captain America Museum once as a child, but back then it was to verify the situation in this world, and he hadn't really explored it properly.

Upon entering, the first thing he saw was an introduction to Steve Rogers' life. While there were some embellishments and fabrications, most of it was actually true.

However, regarding his final fate, it was described as sacrificing himself for the war, and indeed, no one could have imagined that he could be frozen for seventy years and then come back to life.

Next were some items used by Captain America during World War II. Finney even found a shield, which was undoubtedly fake.

After touring the museum, Finney had gained some understanding of Captain America. He had to admit that, based solely on the museum's records, Steve Rogers was almost a perfect person.

He remembered that Captain America was supposed to be discovered this year.

Thinking about this, Finney sighed. Sure enough, since Tony's debut, the world had become even more chaotic. Fortunately, he now had some ability to protect himself.

After leaving the museum, Finney wandered around some more, especially to some secluded spots without cameras, preparing for a sudden teleportation later.

The day passed by in the blink of an eye.

The next day, Finney went to school as usual. With May approaching, perhaps due to the upcoming summer vacation, the students were in high spirits, and groups of students could often be seen chatting on campus.

  "Hey, Finney,"

including his classmate Billy, one of his close friends, whispered to him as soon as he arrived in class, "I heard Stark Industries is recruiting interns. I'm thinking of trying it out this summer. Want to come with me?"

"Uh… Stark Industries!?" Finney was slightly taken aback. He hadn't contacted Tony for over a month since he wasn't grinding for experience points.

  "No need, thank you!"

Working was out of the question for Finney; he decided he never wanted to work for anyone again. He already earned a good amount of money, and selling fried chicken nuggets was even more lucrative, so why work for someone else?

"That's Iron Man!" Billy continued to urge him excitedly and expectantly, "Maybe you can even see Tony Stark in person!"

"So what if I see him!"

Finney secretly scoffed. They had argued quite a bit during their recent battle, and their relationship had actually worsened.

Seeing Finney's lukewarm reaction, Billy was somewhat taken aback. Iron Man's biggest fanbase was young people in schools; in every school, at least eight out of ten students were Iron Man fans.

  "Alright!"

Billy didn't press the issue, then asked curiously, "So what are you planning to do during your vacation? Are you going out to have fun with Dandy?"

He added with a mischievous grin.

  "Who knows!"

Finney shrugged nonchalantly, eliciting a wave of jealousy from Billy, who muttered under his breath, "I'm handsome too, so why are you so popular?!"

"Do you know the difference between us?"

  Finney couldn't help but retort.

  "What difference?"

  Billy asked, startled.

  "Because I have normal eyes!"

Finney then ignored the bewildered Billy and began packing his books for class. After a while, Billy realized what Finney meant and said irritably, "I'm handsome, you just haven't noticed."

"Yeah, we're not blind like you,"

Finney replied, reviewing his textbook. While Billy wasn't ugly, he wasn't exactly handsome either; there was definitely a difference between them.

The two then engaged in a heated debate about this issue until the teacher arrived.

Finney found his ordinary daily life fulfilling. He was essentially an ordinary person, secretly hoping to be extraordinary, but not particularly looking forward to a life of violence and bloodshed.      However, in the Marvel Universe, especially in New York, a simple and peaceful life is not easy; many things are already quietly happening.

  S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters.

More than half a year has passed since Iron Man's debut. Looking at Coulson's apologetic face, Nick Fury felt exhausted.

"Agent Coulson, please tell me the results of your investigation over the past seven months. Who exactly is the Silver Knight?"

Nick Fury stared intently at Coulson with his one eye. He had always trusted Coulson's abilities, but now he was beginning to doubt his own judgment.

  "I'm sorry, sir, I don't know!"

Honest Coulson told the truth, his face showing helplessness. If he could, he would certainly want to complete the mission.

Unfortunately, Finney always appeared directly through a portal and never allowed Jarvis to keep any record of his presence, so he hadn't been discovered even once in over six months.

In desperation, Coulson had considered sneaking into Tony's villa to install a listening device, but unfortunately, he was discovered as soon as he entered, which made it difficult for Coulson to calm the enraged Tony.

Unbeknownst to him, the ease with which they were discovered was also due to Finney's actions. Finney's initial intrusion had led Tony to drastically alter the studio.

Therefore, while 'Anti-Finney Studio' hadn't succeeded in overthrowing Finney, it had successfully overthrown S.H.I.E.L.D.—a cause for celebration.

"You don't need to be responsible for this anymore,"

Nick Fury decided to change tactics. Continuing to have Coulson investigate wouldn't yield any results; a different approach was better.

  "Yes, sir!"

Having been sidelined for so long, Coulson was anxious, and hearing that he was finally out of charge brought a sigh of relief.

Nick Fury, his face already dark, didn't say anything more. After dismissing Coulson, he summoned a graceful female agent.

"Agent Romanoff, I have a mission for you,"

Nick Fury said bluntly. "Evaluate Tony Stark, produce a report, and find out the Silver Knight's identity."

  "That brilliant playboy!?"

Black Widow raised an eyebrow, seemingly intrigued, and continued, "And his identity still hasn't been discovered?"

Nick Fury's face hardened. "So, can you handle both tasks?"

  "Don't worry, sir!"

Black Widow replied confidently, then turned and left the office, leaving Nick Fury alone to ponder something.

While Black Widow was being sent undercover to infiltrate Tony's side, far away on Earth, Asgard was preparing for a major event.

The Asgardian prince was about to be crowned king!   A joyous atmosphere permeated the palace; almost every Asgardian god wore a mixture of curiosity and anticipation, eager to see what changes their new god-king would bring.

Except for Loki, who was actually the third prince but nominally the second, the true third princess.

Loki, sensing the festive atmosphere around him, forced a smile, a complex mix of emotions swirling within him. He didn't know whether he should congratulate his muscle-bound brother.

But he believed that if he became the God-King, Asgard would surely be more prosperous than Thor had been!

Meanwhile, in a remote factory in Brazil, Dr. Banner was also troubled by the serum, having tried various methods but still unable to resolve the problem within his body.
