Chapter 146 - Chapter 147 After the Seventh Draw

Chapter 147 After the Seventh Draw

However, he couldn't draw directly under these circumstances. Although bathing and cleansing weren't necessary, the assistance of the 'Golden Great Evolution Technique' required a calm mind.

"Eat some of this to recover first!"

Finney looked at the Avengers, who were almost all injured, sighed, and summoned several chicken nugget rolls to distribute to them.

Although everyone was surprised that Finney suddenly offered them chicken nugget rolls, they didn't refuse this kindness, especially Thor. After taking the first bite, he wolfed it down and then asked shyly,

  "Is there any more?"

Finney was always generous in this regard. Thinking of Thor's voluptuous figure after Thanos snapped his fingers in the original story, Finney couldn't help but offer him two more.

Look how hungry Thor is in Asgard now!

Although the effect of 'mild healing' wasn't immediate, the help in recovery was enough to be felt.

Under normal circumstances, they would only think of 'Violet's Fried Chicken Wraps' as an extremely delicious and enjoyable food, but now that they were all injured, they quickly noticed the difference.

  "This stuff can stop bleeding?"

Nick Fury, who was the least injured, was the first to feel the change in his body. He looked at the others who were eating heartily and couldn't help but ask Finney.

"It just speeds up the recovery!"

  Finney explained casually.

Thor, who was eating fried chicken wraps for the first time, couldn't stop. He stuffed one into his mouth with both hands and asked Finney, "What are these made of? Why are they so delicious?"

  "Magic!"

Finney looked at Thor and had to admit that Asgardians were much stronger than Earthlings in terms of physical constitution. Despite being the most seriously injured, Thor recovered the fastest after eating 'Violet's Fried Chicken Wraps'.

Of course, it might also be related to the fact that he ate the most and the fastest.

Meanwhile, Captain America thought of the recipe Finney had given him and suddenly felt that this gift was quite heavy, although he knew that he probably wouldn't have the same effect if he made it himself.

After finishing their meal, the group prepared to board Nick Fury's Quinjet to chase after Loki.

  "What about it?"

Nick Fury asked Finney, glancing at the Blue-Eyes White Dragon lying quietly in the distance.

He had already secretly learned about the escape from Natasha and how the Blue-Eyes White Dragon had appeared, so he asked, "Can you turn it back?"

In truth, everyone present was curious about the Blue-Eyes White Dragon; even Thor from Asgard had never seen such a creature. They

had only been too busy enjoying the delicious 'Violet Chicken Wrap' to notice it earlier, but now, after finishing, hearing Nick Fury's question, they all looked at Finney with curiosity.

Finney thought for a moment. They were preparing to chase Loki, and the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's large size would make it easy to spot, and it wasn't suitable for fighting the Hulk. So, to everyone's astonishment, he transformed it back into its card form.

  "Is this magic too?"

Thor's mouth dropped open, staring blankly at Finney.

  "Yes!"

Finney admitted without hesitation. Since he couldn't say it was a system anyway, letting them mistake it for magic was fine; it would better suit his identity as a mage.

"I knew Loki hadn't studied magic properly,"

Thor muttered under his breath, without even considering whether Asgard had such magic.

Tony was quite simple. He stared at the card in Finney's hand for a long time before asking only, "Can I study it? Pay me!"

Captain America had just woken from his slumber. From everyone's reactions, he could tell this situation was extremely unusual, but he wasn't particularly shocked. Instead, he was quite happy; finally, he wasn't the only one feeling uneasy about the changes in the world.

Nick Fury, on the other hand, gave Finney a deep look. He was increasingly confused about what secrets Finney still held, especially after spending half a year on an alien planet.

Even if Finney pulled out an interstellar trajectory cannon from his crotch, he felt it wasn't impossible.

On the plane, only Hill and a few agents had escaped with Nick Fury; the rest were with Loki on the Sky Carrier.

Finney found a corner to sit in, seemingly to rest, and began calmly preparing for the skill draw. The others, due to their injuries, silently healed, working hard to recover for the possible battle ahead.

About half an hour later, Finney finished adjusting, quietly letting out a long sigh, and prepared to begin the draw.

But before drawing, he couldn't help but think about his previous draws.

Since obtaining the system, he had drawn skills six times. The first time, he was clueless and drew 'Golden Great Evolution Technique' by accident.

The second time, filled with anticipation, he received 'Violet Chicken Nuggets Wrap,' which was disappointing at the time but now seemed incredibly powerful.

The third time, with Iron Man's debut imminent and the world about to undergo a major change, he lacked even the ability to protect himself. With anxious and uneasy feelings, he drew the "Possessed" card.

"Possessed" became a major turning point in his life.

After drawing it, he met the Ancient One, joined Kamar-Taj, met Mordo (a character he had gained experience from), and inexplicably acquired the nickname "Silver Knight."

Moreover, his drawing speed increased dramatically afterward.

The fourth time, he drew "Flying," which, although only flight, was a crucial ability for him.

The fifth time, "Explosion Magic" granted him both powerful defense and offense, transforming the Silver Knight into the Divine Punishment Knight.

The sixth time, he drew the "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" card. While searching for dragon food for it and attempting to contact the Tesseract, he was transported to an alien planet and spent half a year with a ghost.

After these six draws, Finney was already incredibly powerful; at least on Earth, few people or things could harm him anymore.

Even if he stopped drawing skills, as long as he could improve all these abilities, he would be more than capable of stopping Thanos from snapping his fingers in the future.

However, Finney certainly wouldn't resist becoming stronger, so he still needed to grind experience and continue drawing skills.

Looking at these six skills, none were similar; in fact, each one was completely unexpected for Finney.

This uncertainty meant he couldn't guess what the system's next draw would be. This time was no different; although he had already gone through six draws, Finney was still nervous on the seventh.

First second, he entered the system.

Second second, he activated the buff and drew.

  Third second, the draw ended.

The actions were fluid and practiced.

However, once the result appeared, Finney calmed down. Even if he drew a cooking skill again, he wouldn't complain like he had before.

Checking the seventh skill, Finney was unsurprisingly somewhat surprised.

  "Breathing Technique"

  "From: Demon Slayer"

"Description: A technique for fighting demons with a human body!"

Finney vaguely knew this anime, but had long forgotten the content, so he was a little surprised when he saw the description, silently wondering if demons existed in the Marvel universe.

Because of the name, Finney guessed the skill was related to breathing, so he couldn't resist checking its effects on the plane. Then it dawned on him that the demons in the description weren't the Sadako or Kayako he had imagined.

This was actually a skill that greatly enhanced physical abilities!
