Chapter 198 - Chapter 200

Chapter 200 People's physical constitutions cannot be generalized; some people…

  "Human bombs!?"

Rhodes was stunned, then frowned and said, "No way, those bombed places are important military bases, they're all checked, and human bombs couldn't possibly have that much power!"

"Rhodes, you don't understand. People's physical constitutions cannot be generalized. Like me, in a state of extreme anger, I once beat up a god. Some people, with just a little provocation, will 'bang,' producing a super-powerful explosion!"

Finney continued to tease Rhodes, making him freeze in surprise.

  "They aren't ordinary human bombs."

Fortunately, Tony didn't join in the commotion, but explained seriously, "They have a very unstable serum virus in their bodies. If stimulated, it will react violently and explode, with a power far more terrifying than ordinary bombs!"

"Is that the Extremis virus you mentioned?"

Rhodes glared at the smiling Finney, then continued to ask, "How do you know about this?"

Tony looked at Finney, who shrugged, clearly not intending to explain.

Tony continued, "It's a long story, but the most important thing right now is to find them and stop them from causing further panic."

"The intelligence agents are already desperately searching for their location!" Rhodes sighed, indicating he was powerless to help.

"You actually expect those idiots to give me the database account and password the military gave you!"

Tony scoffed, then went to the computer and started typing furiously. He had investigated AIM before, but some of the data required military access, so he hadn't acted yet.

He'd come to Rhodes to discuss this matter, but Finney just happened to be there too.

  "No, that's my account!"

  Rhodes shook his head.

But Tony's words were more of a notification than a request. Even as Rhodes answered, Tony had already technically obtained the account.

"Hmm… the account is still the same 'War Machine 68,' and the password… hahaha, I knew it, you still like 'War Machine'!"

Laughing, Tony explained to Finney beside him, "You know what? His password is 'War Machine is the Coolest' in all capital letters!"

Finney was also laughing heartily, while Rhodes stood there with a look of utter despair, feeling that Tony would be teasing him about this for a long time.

Fortunately, it wasn't the first time Tony had hacked his account, so Rhodes wasn't angry and quickly changed the subject, asking, "What do you need my account for?"

"Let me see what they're experimenting on!"

Tony hacked into the military's database through Rhodes' account, then opened the video data he found and projected it into the living room.

The screen showed a man and a woman, both with physical deformities, tied to an experimental table, seemingly preparing to undergo an experiment. The staff injected something into them, and the two began to scream, their bodies emitting red light.

Then, the woman's previously missing left arm began to regenerate rapidly at a speed visible to the naked eye. But the man beside her was different; the red light within his body grew increasingly bright, like it was filled with magma about to erupt.

Seeing the man's transformation, the experimenters visibly panicked. At one man's command, everyone quickly began to evacuate, leaving only the man, about to explode, screaming in agony.

The surveillance footage continued, and seconds later, the man suddenly exploded with a loud 'boom,' leaving no trace of his body. The video then ended.

"Is this the cause of the explosion?"

Rhodes looked at the scene on the screen, his brow furrowed, and said in a deep voice, "I need to report this to the President!"

"There's no point in doing this,"

Finney glanced at Rhodes and reminded him, "The important thing is to find and arrest them as soon as possible, and I suspect there's a mole among the President's men."

Rhodes was silent for a moment. He wasn't the kind of person who blindly followed orders; otherwise, Tony wouldn't have chosen to give him a suit of armor, allowing the military to transform him into the current Iron Patriot.

"Alright, then what do you suggest we do?"

Rhodes sighed, looking at Tony and Finney, and asked.

  "Let me think about it!"

Tony paced back and forth, resting his chin on his hand in thought for a moment. He quickly came up with a plan, clapping his hands excitedly .

"They took control of all the broadcasting stations a couple of days ago. If we can find AIM's satellite receiver, we can find the source of the Mandarin's broadcast signal!"

  "J.a.r.v.i.s!"

  Tony immediately ordered J.a.r.v.i.s.

  "Yes, sir!"

J.a.r.v.i.s began locating the Mandarin's position according to Tony's method.

  "And then?"

Rhodes, watching this scene, suddenly remembered something and quickly said, "Without the President's orders, I can't use the Iron Patriots on missions!"

  "Then you can stay here!"

  Finney said indifferently.

  "Hey, you can't abandon me!"

Rhodes instantly became unhappy, saying, "I made a promise to the public that I must capture the Mandarin and give them an explanation!"

"It's okay, not many people believe it anyway!"

Finney couldn't help but laugh in response.

Just as Rhodes was about to retort anxiously, the incredibly efficient J.a.r.v.i.s finally pinpointed the signal's location.

  "In Miami, sir, Miami, Florida!"

The three men were slightly taken aback by the quick location information. They exchanged glances, and Finney stood up from the sofa. Tony went to the display case, seemingly struggling with what to wear.

Seeing this, Rhodes became genuinely anxious:

"Hey, guys, you can't do this! That guy is provoking the military. If I don't participate in this mission, the whole country will laugh at me and the president!"

"You won't treat me like this, will you?!"

Looking at Rhodes' pitiful expression, Finney and Tony couldn't help but laugh.

Finally, Tony couldn't bear to tease his friend any longer and said, "You have half an hour to persuade your president, then we'll leave. Whether we're laughed at or not depends on your own abilities!"

  "No problem!"

Rhodes quickly nodded, but just as he was about to leave in a hurry, he suddenly remembered that he seemed to have arrived through a portal. If he rushed back like this, it wouldn't be enough time, let alone half an hour, it might take a whole day.

Seeing Rhodes' pitiful look, Finney didn't press him further and opened a portal back for him.

After Rhodes left, Finney turned to Tony and asked, "Are you sure you want to take Rhodes with you? Those guys are quite powerful after being injected with the virus."

"But the public really needs reassurance!"

Tony looked at Finney and said, "Even though so much time has passed, the alien influence is still there. The military needs to rebuild its image. Besides, we might be leaving Earth soon, so people need to know that someone is still protecting them." Finney

didn't say anything more. Although the Extremis virus was powerful, the inability to fly was a major weakness. As long as there was enough ammunition and they were careful, there wasn't too much to worry about.

"And, I also want to have a family party!"

Tony raised an eyebrow, then glanced at all the suits around him and ordered J.a.r.v.i.s, "J.a.r.v.i.s, get ready, we're going to Miami for a party!"
