Nora's POV
Me: Not at all. We should reach Chicago just as the sun goes down.
You don't need to be there for me to set up the protective barriers.
Lena: Do you need to come inside? I can hide a spare key somewhere for you.
Me: Keys aren't necessary ;-) Though if you have a security system, please turn it off so I don't have to handle any human complications.
Lena: You can actually unlock doors with magic?!?!
Me: Absolutely. That's something we master in our third year of training. It's fundamental magic. I'll place the protection charms on your kitchen counter.
Lena stops responding after that message. She's probably either disturbed by what I told her, or more realistically, got pulled into dealing with a patient and can't continue our conversation. I place my phone aside, drain the rest of my milk, and observe Mack attacking Evangeline playfully.
