The cocktail tastes perfect as I gaze across the water, the city lights dancing on the gentle waves. We're positioned on the yacht's upper deck, surrounded by the magic of the evening.
James hasn't shifted his attention from me since we sat down for dinner. His eyes track my every movement like I'm the only thing worth watching in the entire world. The meal exceeded every expectation, though I practically devoured the shared appetizer alone since James won't touch spinach artichoke dip or really any food at all.
