Chapter 11 - Chapter 6 - Part B: "Trash Can Justice

Panic at the Park

The park was in chaos.

Alaindelon had just emerged, arms stretched wide like a grotesque magician. Mothers screamed, scattering like pigeons. Babies bawled. One stroller rolled down a slope and nearly collided with the swings.

Oga, face twitching with fury, grabbed Alaindelon by the collar.

"You! Idiot! Why the hell would you pop out here!?"

"Fufufu!" Alaindelon struck a pose. "Because, Father Oga, appearances are important! Every parent must—"

WHAM! Oga slammed his face into the sandbox.

Narrator: "And thus ended Alaindelon's contribution to parenting culture."

The mothers huddled, whispering in horror.

"He's dangerous!"

"That man's some kind of gangster!"

"And what's with that weird masked girl over there? A teen mom!?"

Aoi flinched. Behind her mask, her cheeks burned. She wanted to explain that she was only babysitting her little brother... but the glares made her throat dry.

The Police Arrive

And then, as if summoned by gossip itself, a shadow fell across the sandbox.

"Oi, oi, what's going on here?"

A police officer swaggered into view, twirling his baton. His mustache twitched smugly, his sunglasses tilted just so.

The mothers practically cheered.

"Officer! Thank goodness!"

"Please deal with that thug and his friends!"

The cop smirked, puffing out his chest. "Don't worry, ladies. You can count on me. I always come running when a cute girl might be in trouble."

He gave Aoi a sleazy wink. "Especially ones as fine as you, sweetheart."

Aoi froze. Kota tugged her sleeve, confused.

Oga raised an eyebrow. "...The hell was that?"

The officer strutted over, pointing his baton. "You. Punk. You think you can just waltz into this park, scare the moms, and steal the spotlight? Don't make me laugh!"

"Steal the what now?" Oga muttered.

The cop turned, flexing for the mothers. "Ladies, you can relax. I'll protect you from these hooligans. After all—" He slicked back his hair. "I thought today might finally be my chance with a certain cute young lady here..."

He looked straight at Aoi.

Aoi's entire body went stiff. Her face burned under the mask. She wanted to yell, to knock his teeth out... but Kota squeezed her hand. "Sis?"

She bit her tongue, trembling.

Oga Snaps

Oga stared at the cop. Then at Aoi. Then back at the cop.

"...Wait. You're trying to hit on her?"

The officer grinned. "Why not? Girls like her love a man in uniform."

"Girls like—" Oga blinked, then snorted. "...Hah."

The mothers gasped. "Is he laughing!?"

Oga's smirk widened into something feral. He cracked his knuckles. "Oi, brat," he muttered to Beel. "Cover your eyes. Daddy's about to handle some trash."

Beel gurgled happily. Sparks flickered.

The officer frowned. "What the hell are you—"

WHAM!

In one fluid motion, Oga grabbed him by the belt and collar, swung him overhead, and launched him straight into a nearby garbage can.

The lid slammed shut with a metallic clang. The can toppled, rolled, and finally wedged itself upside-down in the bushes.

Silence.

Then Beel clapped. "DA-DA-DA!" Sparks popped like fireworks.

Reactions

The mothers shrieked.

"He just—he just threw a cop!"

"Call the station!"

"Oh wait, that was the station..."

Aoi stared, wide-eyed. Her pulse raced. That arrogant officer... that slimy grin... Oga had taken him out without hesitation.

Her fists clenched at her sides. Strong... and trustworthy...

Kota tugged her sleeve. "Sis, that was awesome!"

She swallowed hard, adjusting her mask. "Y-yeah... awesome..."

Oga's Nonchalance

Oga dusted off his hands. "Tch. Idiot was asking for it."

He glanced at Aoi. "Oi. You alright? That creep wasn't bothering you too much, was he?"

Her breath caught.

"...N-no. Thank you."

"Don't mention it." He turned to leave, Beel bouncing happily on his chest.

Aoi found herself watching him longer than she intended. The way he moved—rough, unpolished, but reliable. He wasn't pretending to be cool. He wasn't even trying.

Her chest tightened. She shook her head violently. What am I thinking!? He's just some thug with a baby strapped to him!

After Oga Leaves

As Oga disappeared down the path, the park slowly returned to noise. The mothers whispered even louder now.

"That girl... she was with him, wasn't she?"

"Of course. Birds of a feather."

"Teen moms these days..."

Aoi flinched. She tightened her grip on Kota's hand and marched toward the swings, heart pounding.

Behind the mask, she bit her lip. Why... why does it bother me what they say? I'm not his partner. I'm not even a mother. I'm just...

Kota laughed on the swing, and she forced a smile.

But deep inside, she replayed the moment Oga grabbed that officer and dumped him like garbage. Over and over again.

The Reveal

Later, as she walked home with Kota, she let her mask drop for a moment, breathing in the cool air.

The tough, proud face of Kunieda Aoi—leader of the Red Tails, one of the TKKH—stared back at her from a shop window reflection.

She touched her lips unconsciously, remembering Oga's blunt voice: "You alright?"

Her cheeks flushed. "...Idiot."

But her smile was soft.

Narrator: "And thus, without realizing it, Aoi Kunieda's heart skipped its first dangerous beat."

Meanwhile, in Hell

Cut to Makai.

Kogen sipped demon-wine, watching demons argue in a bureaucratic council. Alaindelon fanned him dramatically.

"Do you suppose Father Oga is surviving the mothers' circle?" Kogen asked with a sly smile.

Alaindelon chuckled. "Oh, most certainly not."

They both sipped in unison.

Narrator: "And thus, while Oga's reputation with the park mothers crumbled... his reputation with one girl quietly began to bloom."
