After Beans left the podium.
Conrad left the area like others to spend his time. Now that Hisoka was no longer his concern, everything felt easier and more robust.
The danger level of the exam was not that much for him in the first place.
Hisoka leaving made it negligible for him; the only thing that he needed was that he just focus on passing the exam and getting the license and so on.
While he spent his time in the hall and ate from the served food. Elaine, Nate, and Lono inside of a private room.
They ate and drank as well as discussed.
Nate looked at the beer in his cup and shook his head.
"I think I am going to get reprimanded..." he said as he thought about Hisoka and Togar. I.
Lono looked at him and then shook his head and smiled.
"I think there is no reason for you to beat up yourself."
"Every five to ten years, such applicants who cause chaos show themselves."
"People who want to be hunters are usually not ordinary, and it is easy for them to be twisted people, sociopaths, and alike."
Elaine, too, nodded, supporting what Lono said.
"I think you are not going to get reprimanded."
"I am more sad for Togari."
"He lost and hurt a lot."
Nate nodded.
"For Togari, I think he would not mind the scars or the fact that he lost."
Elaine and Lono looked at Nate and waited for more explanation about his words.
Nate took a drink from his beer and smirked helplessly.
"I think he noticed that guy named Hisoka did not kill him on purpose."
"That is something that would break the will of people like him."
"To not be taken seriously as a battle, as a fighter."
Lono touched his chin and nodded.
"Yeah, I get what you mean."
Elaine added.
"This means that there will be some sort of revenge that he will plan in his mind."
Nate nodded.
"I am sure he will be taking the next year's exam, and that guy Hisoka will be there."
Lono said nothing as he drank.
While Elaina clapped, she then added.
"Okay, enough thinking about the past."
"We should focus on how we are going to deal with the remaining people."
Lono and Nate focused on the word of Elain, and then Nate spoke.
"Chairman Netero told us that he wants a minimum of ten new hunters that are passing this year."
"Which means we have to cut down the number of remaining applicants to the ten."
Lono nodded.
"That is true."
"Twenty applicants should be eliminated this round."
Elaine also added.
"He also said that this should be the last exam, so I think the best way to approach this exam is to test the fighting capabilities of the applicants."
"Usual tournament; the remaining ten will be passing."
Lono and Nate looked at each other, and for a moment later they nodded.
"That is good enough for me."
"Yeah, I can accept that." "Lono too," said Nate.
Elaine nodded and smirked, showing her teeth.
"Okay, then I will be preparing for the tournament arrangement and location."
"There is just one question that I need to ask," Elaine added as she looked pretty lost.
Lono and Nate looked at her, waiting for her to ask what is in her mind.
"What are we going to do about that guy named Conrad?"
"I am sure you two have noticed it too."
Lono and Nate smirked.
"Oh," Lono started.
"That guy is also a nen user, right?"
Nate confirmed.
"Yes, he is."
"I did not notice when he first arrived at my exam site."
"But, after what he has done to take the flag, his speed, or ability, I am not sure about what it is."
"But I am sure that it is not something an ordinary individual can do."
"He is a "Nen" user."
Elaine then added.
"The point is not him being a nen user."
"The important thing is to be fair."
"Whoever we will put against him will lose no matter what."
"Putting an ordinary applicant against a seasoned Nen user, which I think he is a pretty good Nen user most likely. Same as making that applicant lose the exam outright."
Lono then pointed a finger.
"It is not hard to decide something like this."
"I will inspect the recordings of each applicant right now and decide on the three people that will be put against him."
"Those three people will be the people that performed the lowest in the other exams."
"That way, other people would have their chance, and weaker ones would be eliminated."
Nate and Elaine looked at each other and then nodded.
"Okay, that seems fair enough to us." They both said at the same time.
"Okay then, let's start working." Lono said, took the beer cup and drank it in one gulp, and then left the room.
