Chapter 1 - Face To Face With HORO

Chapter One (English Version) :

The Building

A vast structure with enormous rooms and wide corridors crowned with towering ceilings—

a place that looked as though it had been built by giants.

The walls, pillars, and ceilings were the color of desert sand; the floor tiles were massive—

some black speckled with white, others white speckled with black—

adding a strange beauty to the place.

The sandy-yellow walls were coated with layers of dust and dark patches,

as if they hadn't been cleaned in ages.

Most of the electric lamps were dead; a few still flickered faintly,

casting a dim and uneasy light over the space.

The place looked like a maze from its sheer size—

and yet it was bigger than any maze.

It resembled a luxurious medical bathhouse or a high-end spa,

except semi-public in nature—

strangely, without a single foul odor.

After the young man finished relieving himself,

he suddenly heard a terrifying sound—like the growl of a crocodile.

A bone-deep dread crawled into his heart,

for he was alone in a place that offered no sense of safety.

He rushed out of the area, fear intensifying with every step,

and quickly hurried toward the exit of this vast structure,

a place unusually silent—

though normally it would never be empty of people.

. . . .

He wandered aimlessly through the enormous building.

Darkness swallowed every direction.

He turned on his phone's flashlight just to see.

He walked quickly through the blackness,

trying not to run—running might make noise,

and noise might attract a predator.

Suddenly, in a huge dark corridor—

so much larger and taller than all the others—

he saw people stuck to the ceiling,

suspended by thick, pitch-black, sticky material.

Some of them looked dead.

Connected to several of them, and to the ceiling,

was a massive hunk of flesh—

dark, almost black, like a giant intestine or trunk—

attached to an even larger mass of flesh.

People were glued to the sticky substance above,

and from the darkness hung massive fleshy tendrils

that pierced through victims and hung them like needles on thread.

The sticky black matter clung to everything like spider silk,

holding the bodies in place.

Those fleshy parts were all connected—

to the huge mass, to each other, and to the walls—

forming a horrifying, nightmarish black network

that held the prey of… something.

And strangely, there was no smell of decay.

As if the bodies had not yet decomposed—

or something was preventing them from decomposing at all.

A man hung three meters high from a fleshy strand.

In a weak, broken voice he whispered,

"Help… me…"

reaching a trembling hand toward the young man.

Suddenly, the same predatory roar thundered again—

loud this time—

and the sound of something gigantic shifting echoed through the corridor.

The young man darted behind a colossal pillar on the right wall,

peeking fearfully.

From the darkness emerged massive white teeth—

many of them, thin, needle-like, terrifyingly sharp—

as if the darkness itself had sprouted fangs.

But it wasn't darkness—

It was a creature.

A colossal black worm—

legs many, body long and monstrous,

color as black as a moonless night,

armed with enormous predator's teeth.

The young man froze in place, mouth agape,

eyes wide with shock.

His heartbeat pounded violently,

threatening to stop from sheer terror.

The creature snapped a victim in half—

severing legs from torso—

making all the trapped victims scream.

The man's heart raced faster and faster,

hoping desperately that the beast would not see him.

The front half of the giant worm

crawled across the wall, then the ceiling,

biting another man and tearing him in two.

It swallowed the upper half,

while the remaining part dropped to the floor.

Then the worm lowered its front—

coiled—

and devoured the rest, swallowing it whole.

And then—

it saw the boy hiding behind the pillar.

It saw the faint glow of his phone.

It lunged toward him.

He bolted instantly—running at full speed—

his hand slamming against a wall in panic,

cracking the bottom of his phone.

He kept running as fast as he could.

The pounding of the worm's countless legs

made the corridors tremble.

A monstrous roar shrieked behind him—

far louder and more horrifying than any lion—

so loud it stabbed the ears with pain

and shredded the soul with dread.

He wanted to cover his ears,

but survival came first—

he had to run.

He dashed out of the corridor into another,

then another,

racing through the maze of hallways.

He slipped into a room by mistake—

a filthy but expensive-looking bathroom—

and instantly fled.

The monster chased him on ceilings, then walls, then floors,

skittering from surface to surface.

He saw two corridors beside him—

kept running forward—

the creature closing in,

meters away.

It roared like a cursed pride of lions.

He veered left—

sprinting down the side corridor—

A faint light appeared ahead.

He burst through a gate into a forest outside.

As he ran, he wondered,

"Why isn't it chasing me?

Does it hate light… or the outdoors?"

He hadn't noticed the creature had stopped pursuing him

for some unknown reason,

turning back into the building.

Breathing hard, he leaned against a huge tree,

gazing at the sky tinted with the colors of sunset,

and at the city from this height.

. . .

He reached a road near the forest

and signaled to a passing car.

The vehicle stopped;

the driver lowered the window slightly and looked at him.

The young man said,

"Can I get in?"

The driver frowned.

"Which way are you headed?"

"The opposite direction."

"Sorry. I can't," the driver replied coldly.

"I'll pay—don't worry."

"No. I'm in a hurry."

"Wait…!"

The driver rolled up the window and drove off.

Anger erupted in the young man.

"Wait, your stupid road is that—!"

The car was gone before he finished.

He walked on muttering,

"I hope he runs into that monster.

Astaghfirullah…

Alhamdulillah…

at least I made it out alive.

Alhamdulillah."

Then he wondered,

Strange…

How am I not deaf?

When did the pain in my ears stop?

Aloud he said,

"I should run, not walk.

What if it comes back?"

He began running again.

Later, exhausted, he slowed to a walk.

A taxi passed by;

he waved and it stopped.

He climbed in.

"To the opposite direction.

Take me home—

I'll guide you."

. . . .

He returned home, collapsed onto his bed,

staring at the ceiling with a hand on his forehead.

"Aaah… damn it…

How am I supposed to tell them what happened?

They'll think I'm crazy…"

. . .

Later, he checked his phone

and saw a news alert about terrifying creatures

resembling giant worms.

He turned on the TV to the nightly news.

NEWS:

The anchor said,

"This sounds insane…

but tonight, terrifying creatures

have appeared in several locations.

These are the images."

Gigantic beasts appeared on screen—

huge as elephants or even larger—

exactly like what he had seen earlier.

"That's just like what I saw today…

Smaller than the one I encountered,

but still enormous for a worm or insect…"

The anchor continued,

"Getting these images cost the lives

of cameramen, reporters, police, and soldiers.

It took Apache helicopter strikes

to bring the monsters down.

Bullets do nothing to them—

they're extremely tough.

We're about to show video footage.

We wouldn't air this unless necessary.

Even censored, it remains painful, graphic,

and horrifying."

---

Clip One

Six cameramen and four reporters

stood before a massive barn gate.

One reporter said,

"Here we are—

in this large barn west of the capital—

covering ongoing combat

between police, military forces,

and giant worm-like monsters.

We are now moving closer to the danger zone."

Inside the barn soil, another reporter said,

"Here we are."

A roar exploded—

more terrifying than lions, crocodiles, or hyenas.

The sound froze everyone for a moment.

Police officers retreated, running.

Giant worm-creatures appeared on screen—

black as midnight,

many-legged,

with enormous razor-sharp white teeth.

They were smaller than the massive worm he had seen—

but still huge.

Bullets rained on them,

yet the creatures kept advancing faster and faster.

One bit off a policeman's head and shoulders.

Another ripped a soldier's head, arm,

and half his ribcage.

Suddenly one appeared beside the cameramen

and swallowed a cameraman whole

in front of the rolling cameras.

Another cameraman dropped his equipment and fled.

Chaos erupted.

Another worm leapt, biting off another cameraman's head.

The footage shook violently—

shouts and screams everywhere.

On the chaotic screen,

three men were shown being devoured alive.

One of the beasts lunged and ate one of the reporters.

As the rest fled toward the street,

one worm swallowed a reporter—

And then its head exploded.

An RPG missile—

fired by a soldier.

---

Clip Two

Thermal footage from Apache helicopters

showed the creatures being targeted—

a hail of missiles followed,

detonating in massive explosions.

---

Clip Three

A reporter narrated:

"An incredible scene—

Apache helicopters are firing missiles

and blowing the creatures to pieces!"

The Air Force commander appeared, announcing

that all monsters in that location had been eliminated.

---

The clips ended.

The anchor addressed the viewers:

"These creatures have been named

HOROS — plural.

The singular form is HORO.

The name comes from the English word Horror.

Everyone, please be cautious.

These things have begun appearing in multiple places.

Elimination operations are still ongoing.

Stay safe—

and good night."
