In a confined white room, Li Heng woke up to the sound of talking as he slowly opened his eyes to see a nurse examining him with a flashlight and beside her was a doctor calmly flipping through some documents.
Li Heng tried to get up; however, he was stopped by handcuffs securing his hands to the bed railings and restraints on his legs, producing a loud metallic clink.
Nurse: "Doctor, he's awake!" She shouted
Li Heng paused for a moment looking at the handcuffs, before struggling violently to remove them.
Nurse: "Calm down! Calm down!" She shouted while struggling to hold him down even with the doctor's help
Li Heng: "Where…Where am I?"
Nurse: "You're…You're in a mental health hospital…You were transferred here about a few hours ago"
Li Heng calmed down and looked at the handcuffs before looking back at the doctor and the nurse
Li Heng: "My-My Parents! I-I need to see them!" He shouted with a pleasing tone however the doctor looked at the report before looking back
Doctor: "I'm sorry however your mental condition doesn't allow that at the moment. Violent behaviour, high stress levels, and possible self-harm indicators, we'll need to fully assess you later"
Li Heng: "Please…Just let me call them for a moment"
*Both of them looked at each other before the doctor gave Li Heng his phone from his coat and turned away
The phone lit up, with no messages, no calls, no notifications. Li Heng paused, trying to dial.
Nurse: "Actually, there's no…Reception in this wing"
Li Heng paused and looked up, his expression more towards confusion than anger
Li Heng: "Why didn't you tell me beforehand?"
Doctor: "We gave you your phone. That's was the extent of your request"
Li Heng paused while the nurse softly examines his pulse and heartbeat before injecting him with a syringe. As Li Heng slowly drifted into sleep, he finally realized that this is reality and the consequences of his actions
The scene then cuts to Chongqing university after the livestream where Feng Yi and Jing Yi were in the headmaster's office, both standing in front of him. With Jing Yi stood looking guilty down at the table while Feng Yi stood firm and tall looking at the headmaster. Beside them was Li Heng's parents, both shifting uncomfortably at their chairs.
Headmaster: "Feng Yi, Jing Yi! I am disappointed at your actions!" He shouted loudly with a fury "The investigation concluded that it was a suicide and yet you two had twisted the narratives!"
He paused before slamming a pile of reports onto the table
Headmaster: "The police are currently pressuring us to apologize for your twisted narratives and delete the livestream. Therefore, I'm suspending you two on a one-month hiatus starting tomorrow, online classes and temporary removal of your club's positions"
Jing Yi: "What?! But what about our test and our midterms?"
Headmaster: "We'll arrange a separate exams for both of you!" He shouted. Jing Yi looks down while Feng Yi raises in hand in defeat
The headmaster then turned towards Li Heng's parents who were still both shifting uncomfortably at their chairs
Headmaster: "Mr Wu and Ms Li. I'm representing the university to apologize about your son's encounter recently. We weren't expecting them to be this clueless"
Wu Shao Ning: "Yeah…Hahaha"
Li An: "Mr Headmaster, we just want to know where Li Heng was taken?"
Headmaster: "He's currently hospitalized in the Zhong Family mental health hospital. We'll be paying the full bills"
All of them froze for a moment, Li An quickly got up and tried to throw her bag at him before was stopped by her husband
Li An: "You sent my son to that mental asylum?!" She screamed angrily
Jing Yi: "Mental…Asylum?" She said with a half confused and half horrified tone
Feng Yi: "A controversial one too…Suicide cases, inhuman treatment, racists...However, their director or whistleblower was found dead by accident a few days ago. Strange…"
*Before anyone could continue, the headmaster slammed a crate of stacked RMB alongside a sealed compensation agreement and slides it to Mr Wu and Ms Li
Headmaster: "As compensation, here is 300000RMB and our formal apology from us alongside full responsibility from us if you signed it"
Wu Shao Ning looked at the crate with awe before Li An close it and stood up
Li An: "…Is a human life that valuable to you people?…He's my son! You ANIMAL!!!" She shouted, throwing the crate at Feng Yi and the headmaster before leaving
Feng Yi: "Great…"
Headmaster: "You two, get out…NOW!"
The two of them said nothing and left quickly with Feng Yi mumbling to himself while Jing Yi repeatedly apologized to everyone before leaving
Meanwhile at the engineering club room, Yu Ting was preparing some documents on her laptop until the door was softly knocked two times
Yu Ting: "Come in" She said and Chen Xian enters the room with a document on her hands
Yu Ting: "What's wrong?"
Chen Xian said nothing and handed her the document. Yu Ting swiped through it for a few minutes before looking back up
Yu Ting: "I see…You're leaving the club…Any vital reasons?" She asked
Chen Xian: "I…I'm taking a mandatory break…And I have too much trauma for the club recently...I'm really sorry if this tis too sudden"
Yu Ting: "Don't worry, Chen Xian. I approve it, I'm sure we'll find others to replace our numbers"
Chen Xian nodded, gets up and left quickly
Yu Ting: " *Sigh, wish I can tell her that too" She looked at her laptop with the chairman resignation letter and drop out letter before her phone rang.
She looked at the profile for a few seconds before answering it
Mysterious Male Voice: "Great work, Officer Yu Ting. Another successful mission from you"
Yu Ting: "It's nothing, Commissioner Chai. It's my duty to serve my country"
Commissioner Chai: "With this, you can be promoted to Police Superintendent, Class III or…You can come to my office and I will 'teach' you how to promote to Police Superintendent Class I"
Yu Ting: "That won't be needed, thank you Commissioner Chai" She calmly said before immediately ending the call with a loud:

Yu Ting: "Was this really the right thing to do?" She mumbled to herself before continuing her resignation letters
