Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Senja and Farah

Not everyone who is privileged is indifferent. There is Senja.

Senja Anindya, the daughter of a successful property developer, sat in the campus cafeteria, quietly observing her surroundings. She knew she was lucky—very lucky. Born with everything she needed, she had never known hunger, never worried about tuition fees or her future.

But she saw things. She saw her friends who struggled. She saw Arkan, who always arrived with a tired face, who rarely joined campus events because he had to work. She saw the gap clearly.

"Why do you always pay attention to other people?" Farah asked, her best friend since high school.

Farah Amalia was different from Senja. She also came from a wealthy family, but she did not care about others. To her, the world was already perfect—at least her world was. Why bother thinking about other people's problems?

"Because I feel guilty," Senja replied softly.

"Guilty for what? You didn't do anything. They're poor—that's not your fault," Farah said casually as she sipped her latte.

"But I'm enjoying a life built on a system that makes their lives harder."

Farah laughed. "Senja, you think too much. That's just how the world works. Some are on top, some are at the bottom. It's natural."

Senja fell silent. She knew Farah wasn't trying to be cruel. Farah was simply honest—honest about how most privileged people see the world.
