"Pa… Papa… Eyya wants to train too!" Elyra asked Damnern.
Damnern fell silent for a moment when he heard that. His daughter, who had never cared about training before, was suddenly asking to join.
"Why do you want to train?" Damnern asked softly, his eyes filled with sadness. He felt like he had failed as a father because he could not make his daughter feel safe around him.
"Because Eyya wants to protect Mama and Eden," Elyra answered without hesitation.
"Hah! Eldern should be the one protecting Elyra, because Eldern is the older brother!" Eldern interrupted proudly.
You still need a hundred years before you can protect me, kid, Elyra said in her mind.
The disappointed look on Damnern's face was so frightening that Elyra began to feel like she had said something wrong.
Did I say something wrong? Elyra thought.
"Elyra…" Damnern called.
"Yes!" Elyra answered immediately in panic.
"What about Papa?" Damnern asked softly.
"What do you mean?" Elyra asked back, not understanding what he meant.
"Papa also wants Elyra to protect him," Damnern replied with a pleading expression while hugging her.
"Pa… Papa is already strong… why would Eyya need to protect Papa?" Elyra answered with a troubled expression.
"If Elyra really wants to train, then meet Papa in the backyard this afternoon," Damnern said while gently stroking Elyra's head before heading to his study.
After eating, Eldern invited Elyra to go to the library inside their house. Elyra, who loved books very much, could not refuse Eldern's invitation.
Inside the library, which was filled with books, Eldern brought a book about Fue Core.
"Since Elyra wants to join training, Eldern will teach Elyra what Fue Core is," Eldern said proudly.
"What is Fue Core?" Elyra asked. In her previous life, she had never been taught about it.
While opening the book, Eldern answered, "Every human in this world has one Fue Core near their heart that pumps Fue Energy throughout the body."
Could Fue Core be the same as the energy stone? Elyra wondered.
"Fue Core is the source of energy that allows humans to produce and control the elements of nature," Eldern continued.
Why did Ferwel call Fue Core an energy stone? Elyra thought while continuing to listen to Eldern's explanation.
"However, there is a strange process that can occur which makes it special," Eldern continued with a smile.
Elyra remained silent, listening attentively.
"That process happens when Fue Energy mutates and turns into a unique ability that goes beyond normal laws, called a Sigil. For example, Papa's Semi-Angel ability. Maybe that power will be inherited by Elyra or Eldern," Eldern explained with shining eyes, full of hope.
"In short, Sigils are created because of genetics," Eldern added.
Then he produced a small flame from his hand.
"With Fue Energy, we can control natural elements like fire, water or ice, earth, lightning, wind, light, and even darkness," he added proudly.
After that, Eldern brought many books, and the two of them spent the entire day studying in the library until they eventually fell asleep.
"Eldern… Elyra…"
A voice was heard calling them to wake up.
Eldern and Elyra opened their eyes and saw that it was Damnern.
"Didn't you say you wanted to train?" Damnern asked with a smile.
