Chapter 7 - Chapter 07

You get lost in the sea of life, losing yourself in a single moment.

You forget who you are, you no longer know how to live.

No one feels the sorrow or pain buried deep within you,

as if you were not human—

as if you had no right to live, to feel joy,

or to enjoy life the way you wish.

Morning arrived, and the sun greeted everyone warmly.

The friends woke up, followed their usual routine, and headed to the university, where another step of their plan to unite the two lost lovers was about to begin.

"Are you ready for the mission?"

Sean said enthusiastically, his voice filled with excitement.

Dina: "Yes, I'm ready."

"We're sooo excited to see what will happen!"

Linda and Jane said cheerfully, laughing.

They all headed to class. After several hours, the first lectures ended, and everyone left their classrooms.

"Good morning, how are you today?"

John said with a gentle smile, though his nervousness was obvious.

"Good morning, I'm fine. What about you?"

Serene replied, feeling a bit shy. They had never really been alone together since entering university, and the tension between them was undeniable.

And then… the awaited moment arrived.

Dina suddenly ran toward them, shouting joyfully at the top of her lungs:

"Sean! I missed you so muuuuch, my loooove!"

She ran toward him while John and Serene stood between them.

Suddenly… Dina deliberately bumped into Serene, causing her to fall—colliding with John—and both of them fell to the ground.

Meanwhile, Dina, Linda, Jane, and Sean watched closely, waiting to see what would happen.

"Are you okay? Did you get hurt? Tell me!"

John said anxiously, clearly worried about Serene.

"Y-yes… I'm f-fine… what about you? Are you okay?"

She replied nervously, nearly dying of embarrassment due to how close they were.

"Um… yes, I'm fine."

They slowly stood up, suddenly realizing how deeply they had been lost in each other's eyes, drifting through each other's features—

while their hearts sounded the highest alarm, pounding uncontrollably.

The others observed their reactions carefully.

"Are you two okay? Hello? John? Serene? I'm talking to you!"

Linda said, staring at them in disbelief and slight anger.

"Wait… no… impossible… don't tell me—what's going on between you two? Could it be that you're actually—"

"What do you mean? Explain yourself!"

John snapped.

Linda replied angrily, her voice trembling with emotion:

"Explain what? You're completely lost in each other while I'm asking if you're okay! You look like lovers secretly dating, then coming to complain that we don't care about you after you finish flirting with each other!"

She looked devastated, on the verge of tears.

John: "Wait a minute! First, we're not dating. Second, who said that? Third, this is impossible!"

Sean jumped in angrily, trying to push him into a confession:

"Repeat that—impossible? Why? Do you mean she's not good enough for you?"

Dina: "That can only mean one thing."

"Sadly, that's exactly how it looks,"

Sean added, pretending to be hurt.

"What is wrong with you all? Since when did you start living in fantasies? It was just an accident—stop making things up!"

Serene burst out angrily after a long silence.

Jane smirked:

"Oh, you must be shocked… sorry, little one. This idiot doesn't deserve your pure and sincere love."

"What?! What did you say? She loves me? Don't confuse reality with nonsense! Or have you all become idiots since you started dating?"

John snapped, flustered.

"Let's go to the library—we have a project to finish."

Serene's face flushed deeply. She could barely speak.

"I-I… damn it… what is this situation… fine. Not a word. I don't want to hear a single letter. You're right—let's go and forget everything that was said."

They used the project as an excuse to escape the situation, trying to forget what happened.

Their hearts were filled with confusion and unfamiliar emotions—

was it love?

The others, however, were disappointed by the unexpected outcome, yet it had clearly hinted at mutual feelings neither was ready to confess.

Jane: "What do you think? Has the spark of love ignited between them?"

Dina: "I'm not sure, but their tension and the way they got lost in each other's eyes felt… different."

Linda: "But if they love each other, why all this hesitation? Something about them is strange."

Sean: "The next step must be strong and effective—something that forces them to face their feelings and confess."

The friends discussed what had happened and John and Serene's reactions, brainstorming ways to bring them together—until Jane interrupted their thoughts.

Jane: "I have an idea. It involves two stages, but the second one might be difficult… I'm hesitant to even suggest it."

Sean: "Say it. We'll decide after hearing it. What matters is the result."

Jane explained his plan carefully, and they began executing it without delay, taking every precaution. Each of them went off to do their assigned part.

Dina met Serene later.

Dina: "Serene, hi. I feel embarrassed about what happened this morning. I'm sorry—I didn't mean to bump into you and put you in that situation.

Do you really have no feelings for John? I feel like you're deeply in love with him."

Serene: "Hello. It's okay, what's done is done. I should apologize for my outburst—I don't know what came over me.

As for that matter, let's not talk about it. I don't have time for love or dating.

John is smart, mature, and polite, but I don't think I'm suitable for him—nor he for me. Let's not discuss this again."

Words spoken by a heart incapable of confessing its truth.

How could she release feelings so deep and unfamiliar?

Denial was her only escape.

Her serious tone was the end of Dina's attempt to get a confession. Dina sighed, disappointed, and left with a small hope that their plan might still succeed.

Elsewhere, Linda met John to dig for the truth.

Linda: "Do you really feel nothing for her? Your eyes give everything away.

John, we grew up together—I know you too well. Don't hide it. Unless you think she's not worthy of you."

John: "Since when did you become so blunt, Linda?

Love isn't part of my plans right now. I have responsibilities and goals that matter more.

As for Serene… she's mature yet playful, intelligent, creative—how could she not be worthy of love?

But I have other priorities. That's all."

Like Dina, Linda chose to stop there, knowing he wouldn't say more.

They regrouped.

Jane: "So? Any results?"

Dina: "She's clearly hesitant. She showed interest when I mentioned John—there was a sparkle in her eyes I've never seen before. She loves him but refuses to admit it."

Linda: "Same with John. He's deeply in love, but he's stubborn—using goals as an excuse. His feelings are obvious."

Jane: "Good. They share the same feelings. Now we must proceed carefully and succeed."

Sean: "I joined while Dina was talking—I didn't want to interrupt."

Dina: "Then the next step is crucial. Let's do our best to bring them together."

Everyone agreed, burning with excitement for what was coming next.

But the question remains…

What kind of party awaits them?

Do you have any idea?

Thank you for reading. See you soon.
