Chapter 8 - -Theory and week 2 and 3

David's theory was simple. What would happen if all of his stats would be the same ?

Hidden quest with a harder challenge and with better rewards; obviously.

He told Jim about it last week and Jim felt that it would be too hard for him and that David had to try it alone. He also told David that it would be super hard for him to achieve that since he needed 3 on each stat to make it. (with the title boost)

Now, they had the same conversation as last week but with a bit more knowledge gained through our training experience. Jim told David that the goal was actually possible and that he should think about this choice a lot because he could die.

So David thought.

He used so much brain power that he started getting a headache. He felt that he had a chance to die even without doing the hidden quest and that if he survived, the rest would be easy. David also knew he was weak. People kept posting videos about their road to greatness. Some had their strength to 5 while he was struggling at 2.6 with the title boost. They had 1 week of training while he had 2.

The days passed with little to no change in terms of difference. Wake up, eat, do nothing, eat, gym, eat and sleep. For 6 days this was our routine for us two.

Jim decide to let his stamina be lacking since everybody in the whole world determined that it would be the safest challenge. I respected his choice and kept on chasing mine. I reached the 3 stat points in every stat.

Stat training was brutal but it was still doable. For strength, you needed to do some normal pushing and pulling with each muscle. For stamina, it was about doing something medium for a long time like walking or jogging for a lot of time. Agility was two stats combined apparently. Dexterity and speed. You need to train both to get the 0.1 bonus. Like doing leg training and small mouvement exercises. For intelligence, it was complicated. You needed to learn something new that is useful or train mentally for some time like playing chess or going to school.

On Jim's side, he was trying to flirt with Anna. He asked her to go to a movie with me and him. He then made David fake being traumatized by his experience in the practice round, so he could go to the movie with her. Worst thing was that David was the one that financed the whole thing.

Then he told her about an aquarium visit discount and asked her to go with him. She accepted. Then they went to another movie. This one was of the horror type. Today, Jim was going to ask out Anna to a real classy restaurant date. David begged him not to since they would be eating only noodles for a long time if he did. He didn't listen and started week 3 by asking her.

"I'll only accept if we both survive the death game.", she replied with a beautiful reply

David had to admit that she made Jim train 3 times harder for week 3 and that made him indirectly train the same way. That arrogance that Jim had had to stop in David's eyes.

They were also really running low on food money. We had approximatively 2 weeks left of healthy food to buy. But if the date happened just 4 days were left. David loved to try to cause rifts in the relationship of Anna and Jim.

"Yo, Anna.", David said.

-"Yes?"

"Do you want to make a bet?"

-"It depends."

"I bet you that I am stronger than you."

-"Oh, than I'll accept."

"If I win, I get.....a free dinner from you."

"Okay."

In Anna eyes, the bet was just an excuse to have competition, but what she didn't know was that it was actually really important for the duo because their money was running beyond low. They ended doing multiple stuff like arm wrestling and some weights. And David always won by a milimeter each time. He felt that his title was finally being used. Jim was stronger than David after his training, but that didn't mean that David was weak. After winning they all went to a healthy fast food and David asked for a big meal that two men could probably eat. Anna paid and the look she gave Jim was abysmal. He didn't even notice it. David put the meal in a plastic bag and told her that he would eat at home. In our apartment, both me and Jim ate it like carnivors. He didn't want to at first, but when David explained that he wouldn't pay for nothing else he started eating.

6 days passed full of bad faces from Anna, as it was probably her first time paying for a men with her looks.

"It was finally time to check my progress and make a choice."
