Hey, typical failed writer back again, but with something new.
To be short and sweet, I've tried writing before. It's hard. It takes a lot of time and the one thing that they don't tell you, is that sometimes (all the time) you fall out of love with what you're writing before you finish writing it.
That makes writing not fun.
Makes it feel like a chore, a job—when really, it should feel like fun.
All that's to say, somehow, after all these years—after trying writing and quiting over and over again—throughout it all, I've been stuck reading Naruto fanfics.
Embarrasing. I know.
And I have no disillusions that writing Naruto fanfiction will somehow work out for me to the point where it becomes something more—but I don't think any of that matters anymore.
I started writing because I loved imagining worlds, magics, lives beyond my own—and almost always, along the way, that pure dream gets corrupted by due dates and expectations and pressure—none of which any writer ever asks for.
So I thought, "hey, I like writing and I wanna start writing again, but I'm afraid I'll write something and then learn to quickly hate it again."
How could I solve such a complex issue?
Well, I can't seem to put the Naruto fanfics down and it's been that way for nearly a decade now.
I know. Huge mega geek. Absolute troll.
But what can I say? Some good slop.
Anyway, I'm writing a Naruto fanfic.
I think it's unique. I mean, I hope it's unique.
And it's not Chinese translated so honestly I'd like some bonus points.
