While Kaiser was still fighting the larger beast, two other dogs took advantage of a brief moment to attack him from behind.
'Look at these bastards…' he thought, glancing at them from the corner of his eye as they circled without rushing like the first time.
It seemed these animals, or whatever they were, weren't completely devoid of intelligence.
They slipped into his blind spot despite their size. More silhouettes kept pouring in behind them. The desert seemed to vomit endless creatures.
After a few more seconds of observation, taking advantage of the moment Kaiser was under attack, the two beasts leaped at the same time, ready to end this fight that had lasted too long.
*Fiuuuush*
But while they were still in the air, an arrow sliced through the air at a speed impossible to follow with the naked eye.
It pierced the temple of the first with a dry sound. The tip exited the other side of the skull and continued its path to lodge itself in the eye of the second.
