The morning rose slowly over the desert. The first rays of sunlight pierced the cold veil of the night, gradually warming the golden sand.
The wind blew lightly, carrying a rather refreshing sensation. After the massacre, the four had well deserved a moment of peace.
The atmosphere was peaceful; one might almost have said they weren't in Tenebris.
As the sun's rays stretched across the horizon, the four prepared to break camp. Being warriors, their perception of rest was different. Even while enjoying nature, they remained aware of their surroundings.
"We keep going in the same direction?" Kaiser finally asked, breaking the silence while he continued meticulously cleaning his swords, one after the other.
'Why the fuck won't this damn stain come off, shit,' he thought, applying much more pressure to a blackened spot on the blade caused by the mutts' blood.
