After two days of eating raw fish and shrimp, Sang Luo was craving something cooked.
She took out some seasoned jerky from her dimensional space and started chewing on it.
The Mermaid watched her for a moment, then suddenly leaned in and snatched it from her hand with his mouth. Sang Luo stared at her empty palm. "Hey?"
Before she could get angry, the Mermaid vanished. A moment later, he returned with a large pile of wood. Sang Luo noticed the wood was extremely rich in oil—perfect for starting a fire!
He then produced a few Fire Stones from who-knows-where and struck them together forcefully, producing sparks.
The sparks caught on the oily wood and it quickly burst into flames. He took a few fearful steps back, then lowered his head to lick his hand. Sang Luo saw a large burn on it. Sea Beastmen were terrified of fire; it seemed this was his first time using Fire Stones. He must have seen Land Beastmen use these stones and wood to cook food before and remembered how.
