Sang Luo wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her head against him and saying in a muffled voice, "Okay."
"I'll take you back." Minos's Angel Beast Body was tall and imposing. He easily scooped her up with one arm. Sang Luo sat on his sturdy, slender arm, wrapping her hands around his neck. Her gaze fell on his broken wing, and her nose tingled with a fresh wave of sorrow. "Your wing... can it grow back?"
He didn't say anything.
Sang Luo couldn't hold back her tears anymore. They fell in big drops, soaking her lashes until they stuck to her eyelids.
Minos enjoyed seeing her ache for him, but he didn't actually want her to cry her eyes out. He reached out with his other hand to stroke her reddened eyes and said in a low voice, "It can. It just needs some time to heal."
"That's good." Sang Luo's tears finally began to subside.
