Sang Luo returned to the dilapidated manor once again, filled with a poignant sense of how much had changed.
The stone paths were covered in cobwebs and dust, and weeds sprouted from the cracks in the walls. Many of the windows were shattered, and anything of value had been looted long ago. After all these years, it hadn't been demolished, merely cordoned off with official seals.
Quan Jin, on the other hand, showed no emotion. He went to the study, pushed aside a bookshelf that was against the wall, and ran his hand along the surface. He found the stone tile that triggered the mechanism and pressed it.
With a loud RUMBLING, a stone door appeared in the wall.
The stone door opened.
The two of them walked inside.
The clutter outside was unimportant. The treasures Quan Jin had collected in years past were all in the basement.
