Chapter 6 - 006: Gohan's Cultivation Plan

Trunks' eyes were full of curiosity as he lifted his foot and stepped inside.

Gohan followed closely behind.

After the two entered, the door to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber automatically closed.

Gohan looked back and noticed a clock hanging on the inner side of the door as well.

It currently displayed exactly 0 o'clock.

But it moved extremely slowly; it wouldn't tick even after a long, long time.

But Gohan knew that this didn't mean the clock was broken.

Rather, when the clock hand reached 0 o'clock again, a year would have passed.

Trunks walked ahead, looking excited.

He said, "Brother Gohan, did you hear that? One year inside here is only one day outside. Isn't that amazing?"

Gohan laughed, "Yes, of course, I heard. And this place isn't just about the slow passage of time; you'll find out in a bit."

"What else is there? Brother Gohan knows so much." Trunks said.

"I'll tell you later. Let's look at the living quarters first," Gohan said.

Soon, I'll let you experience ten times the gravity, plus the massive temperature difference, and feel the thrill of the dual extremes of ice and fire.

Gohan decided to give Trunks a surprise.

The living quarters were to the right of the entrance.

The quarters were simply furnished: two large beds, a wardrobe, and a full-length mirror leaning against the wall.

A little further inside were the bathroom and toilet.

A huge bathtub was placed in the bathroom.

Lying in it after tiring Cultivation should be very comfortable.

Just then, Trunks asked, "Brother Gohan, where do you think the water here comes from? And where does it go when it drains?"

Trunks, that question has truly stumped your Brother Gohan.

"It probably comes from where it should come from and goes where it should go."

Trunks: "..."

To the left of the main door was the kitchen, where several large vats were placed alongside common utensils.

They opened the lids of the large vats to look inside.

The vats contained water, rice, and flour.

Want meat? Hey, there is none.

It was only enough to fill their stomachs.

Gohan knew that these large vats were also somewhat unusual.

It seemed they automatically replenished themselves after a certain period.

It was very magical.

However, Gohan couldn't be bothered to delve into things that defied common physics.

After all, this was a Two-Dimensional World; what was possible or impossible here?

You probably haven't seen beings who dare to hammer out a spaceship using just an iron hammer.

That's all minor stuff... After checking the kitchen in the living quarters, Gohan waved his hand and said, "Trunks, follow me."

"Okay." Trunks nodded, following Gohan with an excited look on his face.

He wondered if Trunks would still be able to smile later.

The two passed through the corridor between the living quarters and the kitchen, arriving in front of a vast, white open space.

The two stood as if on a vast white coastline, gazing into the distance where no end was visible.

Gohan said with a smirk, "Trunks, go down and take a look."

"Alright." Trunks answered loudly, then leaped and jumped into this vast white world.

Then,

With a "thud," he fell flat on his face.

Trunks shot Gohan a resentful look, struggling to get back on his feet.

However, the overwhelming 10x gravity struck, constantly dragging his body toward the ground.

Trunks felt as if every cell in his body was plummeting.

"Hahaha." Gohan pointed at Trunks and burst into laughter.

"Seriously, Brother Gohan."

Trunks mumbled with a pout, and white Qi flames ignited around him before he slowly stood up.

It was his own carelessness; he hadn't prepared himself in the slightest, nor did he have any reservations.

Otherwise, with Trunks' fighting power, he wouldn't have fallen flat on his face here.

"Hahaha, I forgot to tell you, the gravity here is 10 times that of Earth." Gohan chuckled, then stepped into the vast white plaza as well.

Having prepared beforehand, Gohan naturally didn't run into any trouble.

He just felt his body was heavy, making movement less convenient.

"Brother Gohan knew but didn't tell me beforehand, making me fall. How awful." Trunks was still grumbling indignantly.

"Hahaha, what's wrong with giving the Hyperbolic Time Chamber a hug to show respect?"

As Gohan spoke, he felt the surrounding air suddenly become scorching hot.

Every breath felt like inhaling wisps of flame, constantly searing his internal organs.

But after a short while, the temperature plummeted dramatically.

In just a few breaths, they went from a fiery furnace to an icy cavern.

The extremely cold air slowed down the speed of blood flow.

The air exhaled instantly turned into ice shards.

Extremely hot one moment, extremely cold the next—the alternation of ice and fire was truly terrifying.

Trunks' face alternated between red and white.

"I... I finally understand why Mr. Popo said no one can stay in here for two years. This is deadly."

Gohan took a few deep breaths of the alternating hot and cold air, stretched his limbs, then punched and kicked, his movements fierce and powerful. After a few jumps, he stopped.

He said, "You're right. This environment is indeed torturous, but Cultivating in such an environment allows one's strength to advance by leaps and bounds."

"Ten times the gravity, plus this extremely cold and hot air—even if we do nothing, just living here will continuously increase our fighting power."

"Therefore, Trunks, to defeat the androids and become stronger, we should be thankful for having such a Cultivation environment."

Trunks stood at attention and said, "Understood, Brother Gohan, I will work hard to Cultivate."

Gohan nodded, "Mhm, good. Then let's go, Trunks. Time is short and the task is heavy. We must seize every second. Let's begin the first phase of our Cultivation now."

"Okay."

"Come on, don't transform into a Super Saiyan. Attack me with everything you've got."

...Gohan divided this period of Cultivation into three phases.

He knew that both his and Trunks' foundations were too weak.

Therefore, this first phase was dedicated to consolidating and strengthening their basic aptitude.

This basic aptitude included several aspects, divided into base fighting power, endurance, and combat techniques.

The three could be practiced simultaneously and were mutually complementary.

Gohan planned to use six months to complete this phase.

It was fine even if it took a little longer.

Only with a solid foundation could they build tall buildings upon it.

The saying, "Sharpening the axe does not delay the chopping," reflects this principle.

As for the second phase, Gohan's plan was to surpass Super Saiyan.

Once the foundation was solid, they had to start attempting to achieve a Breakthrough.

They must not only dare to think but also dare to act and dare to practice.

Only then could they continuously Break through their limits.

If they were to stick to old ways, believing Super Saiyan was the peak, then they would never become true powerhouses in this lifetime.

Gohan also planned to use six months to complete this phase.

This was also a relatively long period.

But there was no alternative.

They had no teacher and could only rely on continuous trial and error and practice to prove feasibility.

They would learn lessons from failure and constantly try new methods.

Failing repeatedly and summarizing continuously, Gohan believed that success would eventually come.

In any case, things couldn't get much worse; things were already much better than before, weren't they?
