Chapter 82: The Three Generals
Outside the Hero Association Headquarters.
High in the sky, several bird-men flapped their wings, circling above the headquarters.
The largest one, with blood-red skin, let out a bizarre laugh.
"Keh heh heh heh! I am the Sky King! Today, I shall claim the surface world for my kind! What a strange building. This must be the human headquarters. Watch me destroy it!"
Suddenly, the sickening sound of flesh being sliced echoed behind him, followed by the dying screams of his companions.
"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!"
"Boss! Run! There's a monster! A monster!!"
Sky King turned his head dumbly, only to see his companions' bodies sliced cleanly in half vertically.
In the next second, a blade flash of extreme speed descended from above. A line of blood appeared down the center of Sky King's face. His eyes were filled with disbelief.
"Impossible... I am the mighty Sky King... how could..."
As his corpse split in two, a massive humanoid creature hovered behind him, fleshy wings flapping on its back.
This monster looked bizarre. Its body resembled a giant mud golem, but it had five heads growing from its neck, each with blood-red eyes.
Melzargard. One of the Three Generals of the Dark Matter Thieves.
"Let's go down and check. If there are no issues, begin the bombardment immediately."
The central head spoke first. The other four heads responded in turn.
"I think that works."
"Good suggestion."
"Let's do it."
"I think it's a bad idea."
One head disagreed, but the other four ignored it. Minority obeys majority.
After a quick scan, Melzargard found no issues and emitted a silent telepathic wave.
The ship above responded quickly. Immediately after, a colossal spaceship materialized above City A.
The spaceship was dark purple, and its immense size covered the entire sky above City A, rivaling the area of a small-to-medium-sized country.
Receiving Melzargard's signal, all the cannons on the underside of the ship began to charge simultaneously. Overwhelming purple light threatened to drown the world.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!
In the next second, all cannons fired, unleashing destructive energy. Purple light instantly blanketed City A.
Just as the city was about to be annihilated, two figures floated into the sky.
King and Tatsumaki exchanged a glance. They activated their psychokinesis simultaneously. The two similar forces quickly intertwined and merged, forming an even more massive ocean of psychic power.
All the artillery shells were captured by the psychokinesis in an instant, freezing in mid-air.
Melzargard was stunned. All ten of his eyes stared at the suspended barrage, shock filling his hearts.
Psychokinesis... Besides Geryuganshoop, there's someone on this planet who has mastered psychokinesis?!
Inside the ship, the artillery operator was also dumbfounded. The three-eyed pink alien stared blankly at the shells frozen in the air.
"Huh? What's happening?"
Then, under the combined power of King and Tatsumaki, the shells flew back faster than they had been fired, creating sonic booms as they reversed course.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!
Countless shells smashed back into the surface of the spaceship, creating dented craters on its hard hull, but causing little overall damage.
The ship was simply too big. Even thousands of reflected shells were like pebbles hitting a mountain.
Just then, a yellow figure punched through the ceiling of the Hero Association Headquarters and climbed out of the hole, looking at the boundless spaceship with amazement.
"Whoa! So these are aliens? They really drive spaceships!"
Seeing Saitama appear, King relaxed slightly.
He had almost forgotten about this heaven-defying existence. With the Bald Demon guarding the rear, even if a hundred Boroses came, they would only be turned into dried pineapple snacks.
This time, King didn't plan to let Saitama fight Boros. He wanted to experience the power of the Universe Dominator himself.
"Saitama, some ugly but decently strong monsters might come down later. I'll leave them to you and the other S-Class heroes."
Of course, mostly you.
In the original story, just one General, Melzargard, had tied down several S-Class heroes.
Undoubtedly, if all three Generals descended, the S-Class heroes would be in for a tough fight—excluding Tatsumaki, of course.
Adding the proud Esper Queen to the mix would tilt the battle significantly.
Saitama scratched his shiny head. Although he still wanted to explore inside the ship, he chose to stay on the perimeter.
"Alright. But after I deal with these ugly monsters outside, I want to go inside the ship too."
King made an "OK" gesture. His body turned into a streak of light, shooting straight into the sky, leaving only a sentence echoing in the air:
"I'll leave the ship's artillery barrage to you, Tatsumaki. I trust in your strength."
Hearing this, Tatsumaki, who was still channeling her psychic power, stumbled in mid-air. She shouted at the ascending King:
"Who needs your trust?! I could do it anyway! And I definitely will!"
Tatsumaki's face flushed red with anger, her art style simplifying into the doodle-like "strongest mode" out of sheer annoyance.
She raised her hand. The shells she had just repelled were recycled, forming a massive wave of projectiles that smashed back into the spaceship's surface.
Melzargard finally noticed the source of the psychokinesis: a human child with curly green hair.
Looks like a human hatchling of this planet. To think she possesses such power... Die!
Melzargard flickered, reappearing behind Tatsumaki. His right arm transformed into a sharp blade, slashing down viciously.
Although it's a pity to kill someone with such powerful psychokinesis, you cannot be used by the Dark Matter Thieves!
