"Bye Hana-chan!" A coworker waved as I left the office.
"Bye, see ya tomorrow." And of course I waved back, whoever doesn't is just mean or going through some stuff.
With that I entered the elevator and headed down.
*ding*
The elevator opened up to the lobby and the reception was busy, 'poor them, having to work this late.'
And so I left the building...
"sigh..." another day passed as a corporate slave.
As per routine, I go to work, and I go home...
"It's so monotonous!" I yelled to the empty street.
"There's no changes, and there's barely enough me time..." I reached the bus stop and an officer approached me.
"Little miss are you lost?" They asked.
"sigh... I'm not a child I'm just short!"
"Really?" He looked suspicious so brought out my ID.
"Here, check for yourself."
"Huh, it does." He gave back my ID, "Sorry to bother you."
With that they walked back on patrol.
Time passed and the bus still hadn't showed up.
"Is the bus running late today?" I checked the schedule and compared it to my watch.
"It's late..." My mood drooped with my shoulders, but my hope has arrived in the form of headlights coming this way, "Or it's here?"
But as I watched the lights, I realized something.
"It's not slowing down!" As it drew closer, so did my perception of it, "And it's not even my bus!"
I watched as the truck barreled down the road and onto the sidewalk where I was.
But curse my short legs, I can't run from it!
I watched as it came close so I covered myself with my arms.
-silence-
"No crash?" I looked around, but I have no idea where I am.
"No, there was a crash." A voice spoke from behind me and I turned around.
Now I can say I've seen beautiful faces, but they were all anime and manga!
And the face on the woman, man? whatever, was #1 for sure!
"Thanks for the compliment!" They exclaimed.
Wait can she here my thoughts...
"Yes." They nodded.
"..." I said nothing still swallowing the fact I was dead.
"... Anyways, you died and because you did a lot of good things you got good karma so you can have a few wishes for your next life!" After saying that confetti dropped.
"Ok... Lemme think after I cry." It was now settling in that i can no longer see my family or friends.
"Ok, everybody goes through this when they die suddenly." They nodded "I'll give you space."
-10 minutes later-
*sniffle* "Ok, I'm done... probably."
"Great, the amount of wishes you can use depend on what you wish for, it could be customizing what you want for your body, or if you want to transmigrate or reincarnate." She explained, "However if you wish for a fated companion it will cost a lot, like tons."
"Good to know." I nod as I began thinking of what to wish for.
"For my first wish, I want to be born in My Hero Academia."
"Good choice, but please specify if you want a quirk, I need specifics as I'm not good with human subtleties."
I nod as that makes sense for a god or whatever they are.
"For my quirk I want vector control, as well as a mind to make calculations for it." They nod so I continue.
"For my body I want to be a Futanari! I always wondered what it'd be like." I probably have a perverted smile but I don't care.
"That's unique, but I can't force you, as if you hadn't specified I would have made you genderless as it saves karma."
"And for your last one?" Before I could speak she specified, "It has to be about your body as there isn't much karma left."
"Oh... Then I want to have a tall body! I don't want to be short..." I was thinking back to that officer from before.
"Done, enjoy your next life!" With that she clapped and the world went dark.
-POV switch-
"Be careful when you go out, there's snakes." My husband warned as I tightened his tie.
"Don't worry about it, I'll just reflect some light to burn them, the child will be fine." I said as I rubbed my swollen belly.
"sigh, fine, I can't help but worry." with that and a hug, he left for work.
Now alone I wondered what to do, but having decided on nothing I just decided to lay in the grass out back underneath a tree.
*hiss~*
At that noise I jumped away.
"A snake, huh~" I smiled as I started gathering light, but stopped as I saw what the snake was doing.
"Huh... it's a clutch of eggs, I guess I'll stay away..." I almost started walking away but-
*crack*
One of the eggs was hatching but I was curious so I decided to stay watch.
However instead of a little snake head crawling out, it was a hand, followed by a body, followed by a snakes?
"What?" I was confused as I saw a white snake with a human torso crawl out.
'Is it another animal with a quirk?' She thought to herself as it crawled out and promptly fell unconscious.
Although it was clearly born from the snakes eggs, it clearly didn't acknowledge the snake as it's own and prepared to attack.
"Oh no!" So I decided to blast it without care, roasting the snake.
"I know snakes can live by themselves when they hatch, but I should take responsability for this one..." I said as I picked up the unconscious snake girl.
"I'll just check these just in case." I shone light under the eggs to se if there was any little snakes in them, finding that these were duds.
'I should probably give her something to eat.' With that, I took out some meat and sliced it into cubes and as I was doing so I called my husband.
"Hey hum, what's up?" He asked.
"Uhm... I got little Hagakure a big sister?"
"... what."
"A snake laid eggs in the backyard and one hatched into a snake with a human torso." I explained.
"A lamia... I suppose it's fine, I just hope that they will get along well when she's born."
"Alright, I'm going to give her her first meal, see ya later." I said as I hung up and gave her the meat cubes.
She woke up to the smell and proceeded to eat them and fell back asleep.
"I'll call you Hanabi, a little combination of Hana(flower) and Hibi(snake)."
