Chapter 203 - Breakthroughs in Succession

Meanwhile, at the Teya Alliance's largest army base in Beika Country, a vast plain was under siege by the Monster Association.

Weak nations were handled by ordinary monsters; great powers—especially those with strong armies—were targeted by the Association's elite.

Boom! On the battlefield, Han Qi punched, instantly blasting a tank apart.

His five-meter frame and thick bone armor let him shrug off shells and high-yield missiles.

"One-oh-seven!" Han Qi counted the tanks he'd wrecked; behind him, craters and wreckage littered the ground.

Several kilometers away, Tyrant tore a tank in half, ignoring the shells hammering his body.

Behind them, plenty more Monsters followed.

From another direction, Li Yong led hundreds of Monsters charging the same corps.

White specks shot from his hand, detonating incoming missiles tens of meters away and shielding the Monsters behind him.

"Only eighty thousand and they dare fight us—these White Pigs must be high as hell." Nearby, Chen Yeliu held a fleshy, living rifle.

She kept aiming at Gunships thousands of meters away that were pouring fire toward them.

Buzz! An invisible ripple left the muzzle and swept across the distant helicopter.

Inside the cockpit, the pilot watched Monsters breach armor and firewalls; sweat beaded on his forehead as he hammered the trigger in terror.

Buzz! Another ripple brushed the cockpit; the firing pilot's eyes lost focus, mind-controlled. The helicopter plummeted.

Bang! It hit the ground, smoke billowing. Chen Yeliu never glanced over, already disrupting the next chopper.

With the last armored line breached, Monsters flooded the camp from every side—and from the sky.

Bang-bang-bang!

"Aaaah!"

"Don't kill me—I surrender!"

"Aaaargh!"

Gunfire and screams mingled inside. Li Yong stayed outside; the outcome was sealed.

Killing the weak was a waste of time—his Monsters could handle it.

At that moment his star seal flashed with a message from Wei Gaocheng.

"Old Li, I broke through—Level Five now, hahaha!"

Li Yong calmly replied: "Seems I'm about to break through too?"

He felt energy surging and swelling—classic signs of advancement.

"???" Wei Gaocheng sent three question marks.

Li Yong sprinted rearward; the battle was won, but he didn't want a random missile landing on him mid-breakthrough.

As he ran his body began to change: the bead in his chest glowed, Energy Threads forming around his fingers.

This time the threads weren't counted in meters—they trailed dozens of meters along the ground, rapidly boosting his base power.

More than that, his Teleportation improved; muscles ballooned then snapped tight and compact.

The blade-like horn on his forehead—once mostly decorative—brightened, turning almost white.

He stopped at two meters ten, every muscle taut and built for explosive speed.

Glancing at the kilometer-long threads, he was stunned: 'The range is insane now!'

Those threads were lethally sharp; few at the same level could take more than a couple of hits.

Even Han Qi's thick bone armor would be sliced open in two strokes.

The white threads vanished; Li Yong raised his hands toward every direction.

Swoosh-swoosh-swoosh! Dozens of white motes peppered the ground within hundreds of meters.

An instant later Li Yong vanished—then reappeared at every single mote simultaneously.

Flash! The motes faded; Li Yong stood stunned: 'I attacked from dozens of spots at once!'

Unless an enemy was far stronger or faster, they'd be diced into countless pieces.

Before, he could manage two or three simultaneous images at most, and their timing had been slightly off.

More importantly, his horn had changed—his Mental Power felt stronger, his resistance to Mental-type attacks sky-high.

While he tested his new strength, Han Qi thundered toward him.

The five-meter giant skidded to a stop. "Damn it, Li Yong—Wei Gaocheng hit Level Five and spammed me to brag!"

He froze, eyeing Li Yong warily. "You're taller again—and why do I feel this pressure?"

Bone armor retracted, revealing the two-meter-plus Han Qi; the more he stared, the grimmer his face became.

"Y-you… you broke through too!" he stammered, shock written all over him.

Li Yong simply nodded.

Crash—like thunder in Han Qi's skull; his shock deepened.

He'd been Jiang Yan's first follower, yet now Wei Gaocheng and Li Yong had both surpassed him and reached Level Five.

He still felt no sign of his own breakthrough.

"Damn—so humiliating!" He spun and charged back toward the camp.

He'd always seen himself as the big brother—yet the big brother was the weakest.

Li Yong could only shake his head. "Old Han—if you're slow, train more."

This was the largest military base outside Nanwu Country; its fall left no obstacle for the Level Two and Three Monsters that would follow.

Boom-boom-boom!

Blasts echoed—all eighty thousand soldiers, officers included, were executed.
