Chapter 67 - MIRROR'S EDGE

The silence after Julian left my trailer was louder than the frantic bustle of the film set outside. I turned back to the vanity mirror and began to wipe away the traces of my character's tears with a cotton pad. My reflection felt like a stranger. The woman staring back at me had eyes that were too bright and a mouth that was pulled into a tight line of suppressed anxiety. I was becoming the person I had always mocked in scripts: the woman who couldn't tell where the performance ended and her reality began.
